Training contracts - has anyone ever tried recouping costs from training a staff member that has left?

My newest recruit that I put through his climbing tickets last week rewarded me on Thursday by filling the EVO165 petrol with diesel and ran it for 3hrs (I'm actually impressed it lasted that long).

It's all fun and games isn't it?

Larger haulage companies (eg eddie stobart I believe?) and sure I've seen it advertised on a bus, offer to put you through relevent driving tests.  They must have a tried and tested legal way of doing this?  Could look into how these types of companies do it and then obviously tweak it to suit your business?

OK different industry, different size business but same principle?

Label on the tank filler saying petrol only?

The industry clearly needs another ticket.

A City & Guilds Award in 'Awareness of Fuel Types for Plant and Hand Held Tools'.

Sounds good.

Nice little one day course including assessment.

To the engine or the backside of the employee?.

Granted if it was running for a while it was probably getting some very hard use, so just acted like an old TVO engine using the heat to atomise the fuel.

Clean out the fuel and it'll probably fire straight up and clear itself out quickly without any difference.

One day they will make it last a week and another day for the test!
