My stash of Kiwi has expired and I idily searched online.

I don't want gold flakes through it or anything, but judging on the prices being looked, there must be.

What else is a worthwhile alternative?

I use cherry blossom I think it's called. You can pick it up in the supermarket for a couple of quid. Not as good as guardsman gloss from kiwi.

I've got home haix active polish for my new boots but not used it yet

Local feed supplier always has tins of Hoggs dubbin on the counter, so that's what I use.

If the boots aren't clean/dry, I would sometimes spray wd40 on them on the way out the door in the winter, I think it helped a bit with waterproofing.

Picked up a big tin of Kiwi Dubbin from Yorkshire trading for £1.50 last week. Ever tried Leder Gris?

Leder Gris Extreme is all I use and have done for 20 years or so .

I use whale blubber.

Not really but a lot of the blokes and ladies use it here in Norway.

Same as they coat there truck chassis and tractors with Pig fat.

I've been doing my left boot with Leder Gris and my right with Cherry Blossom for about a year now. No difference in performance. I marginally prefer how the Cherry Blossom goes on. I joined a facebook group for shoot beaters the other week and they all swear by something called five somethings.

That would have put you around 52 year's old stubby. Have you seen Doug's post in the 50 club you were made of stronger stuff back then.

I have a block of home-grown beeswax waiting for an application. Anyone want to suggest the ideal oil and the ratio in which to mix it?

Neatsfoot does sound like a strong contender... being cows, and all...
