They are an incredible breed.Fearless.She keeps the garden free of Gofers,rats and even Turkey Vultures although she got sprayed by a Skunk last week and won't be squaring up to one of those again...🦨

Found these when clearing out the 'phone this afternoon

 

First two taken when we dropped some of the trees in our back garden during lockdown  - despite appearances she is nearly 6 yrs old!

A friend came over at the weekend with their Siberian Husky.  She is used for helping dogs be rehomed.  Excellent well mannered mutt.

 

Kira was in awe.  They played, almost wrecked the house LOL.

It's now a year since we lost Katie. She's left a big hole in our lives and our children still talk of her often. I'm glad they got to grow up with her, but by Christ, I miss her.

 

We've been dogsitting a jack russell for the last 4.5 months for friends who are travelling. It's only served to reinforce how lucky we were with Katie. She was irreplaceable.

This is Otto my 6month old cocker who is definitely enjoying being a cab dog ever if it's not the easiest forwarding with him on my knee
