On that note. There were plenty of Mullets there. Good show, but too many annoying little spiders and too many Mullet boys! I was there on the Saturday and it was quite quiet, especially in the afternoon. It was definitely smaller than previous years, though I did miss the 2022 one. There used to be a big circuit that went up the hill, then around through the wood and back down again.

That bit dont sound so good 😒 not be long before most events are like this, went to see Sheryl Crow in June and 2 bars behind us, one card only and one card or cash, hence the card n cash bar was far busier than the card only one ,,,

It’s also a pita not being able to get hold of anyone because of swamped bandwidth on phones.

Card only is so no cash on site overnight, 

Not being able to use phone, had same problem at The Game Fair, also block some card machines so cash only,

Very good, hadn’t been for 10 or so years.

Couldn’t meet up with a few on here due to phone signal issues as discussed.

Managed to see my nephew and Big Tree Don, talked to some machinery boys.

More of a social thing for me than a real business trip.

I didn't take a card so I was thirsty and hungry until I happened to see a shop in the campsite which was ridiculous although to be fair on the organisers they weren't told either.

 

Overall I thought the show was really good this year. I spent most my time with the machinery although Milwaukee had some good stuff including the dual battery chainsaw and the chainsaw carving is always impressive.

 

I think the shop was the same as last year but smaller than precovid. The visitor numbers seemed way down from the parking but also less onlookers.

I was helping a mate on his stand and only got a brief opportunity to wander round the venue, I saw a stand selling Swazi workwear, I intended getting back to them but didn't, does anyone know the name of the company so I can visit their website.

I went up on the Thursday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Due to a change in career this is the first time I've been to the APF show and not been on the lookout for shiny new climbing kit! 

 

Bumped into the usual loiterers in the Sorbus tent and had a good chat to. Awesome kit to look at and I am really impressed at the size, reach and scope of some of the tracked spider MEWPS nowadays. Seriously long reaches on some of them. The spinny, twisty chainsaw on a loader was a novel idea, although a bit impractical, I think. 

 

Had a chat with FISA and the ICF, too. Saw some colleagues that were there at the same time - which was nice.

 

Can't say I noticed the tiny spiders or influx of mullets as mentioned by others, though. Maybe they came later in the week?

I went up to the front of que and said "is there any adult sized doughnuts please?" 😀
