Fresh plant trailer... anything better than the ifor gh1054?

For a compact tractor and attachments, my vote is for a beavertail with full width ramp. I prefer this 16' over my 18' tiltbed. A tiltbed however is far more versatile as an only trailer.

I’d say you want more than 14’ for a tractor and implement. I’ve a 14’ Ifor beaver tail in reasonable nick that I’ve changed for this 16’ if anyone is looking- no full width ramp though.

Nugent trailers are pathetically poorly put together. Brian James not much better imo.

Have you ever used one, mate as one carrying 2.6 ton digger, grab, etc and finds it ideal. It’s very well made and when I’ve used it I’ve been well impressed, so much so I’ve got one ordered.

be interesting to find weight of a triple axle tilt bed with the extra axle, ram, hand pump and tank as I think payload would be down?

Yeah I'm surprised to hear that too. I was looking at someone's new Nugent plant the other day- looked a heavily built trailer IMo- almost overkill. Certainly nothing pathetic about it. Still think the GH1054 is the one ifor got just right tho when balancing weight/cost/strength etc
