I emphatically agree. There is no place for horses on 21st century roads.

The arrogance is quite staggering sometimes. Last year, I had the distinct displeasure of having to follow a mounted hunt for over a mile down a lane to get to site. Having lived in Scotland for 13 years, seeing a mounted hunt is quite a culture shock, and they made no effort to make way for the line of traffic that had accumulated behind them. Horseback, costumed toffs with bloodlust are a demographic I have precisely no time for.

What, folk shouldn't ride horses in the countryside, folk shouldn't hunt pest/vermin/food for the plate.?

The arrogance is spewing out of people who think that way. Don't like it, don't live in the countryside.

I'm going to get a road bike. I'm always amused by the people who bang on about no road tax and hate cyclists. Normally the sort of person who has a Union Jack all over their Facebook page and think Jeremy Clarkson was misunderstood.

If being held up for 5 minutes by a horse or a cyclist ruins your day then you must have no real problems.

I've been doing a bit of cycling during lockdown, purely from necessity since I wrote my car off in March, and my proper bike (which has a pair of 4" pistons, a throttle and a nice squishy seat) broke a chain and is waiting for a replacement; and I fail to see the attraction in any shape or form. It's knackering, fiendishly uncomfortable and mind-numbingly slow.

Clearly the only forma of personal transport that makes any sense is a motorcycle. You don't have to peddle it and it doesn't makes your legs ache. It doesn't fart or shit everywhere and it doesn't have a fit of hysterics if someone clears their throat on the other side of a hedge.

If it hasn't got an engine and at least 150 bhp it's an evolutionary dead end and should be shot or melted down as the case may be.

I’d hazard a guess and say Italian ?‍♂️

Close. It's Austrian and orange. I have got an Italian one as well but obviously that's under a sheet in a specialist workshop partially dismantled.

KTM. Got an 1190 Adv and a 1290 Superduke.

The last bike I had was 150bhp at the gear box . Probably 128 ish at the back wheel .  The new SP Blade is 217BHP or something . Bonkers !
