The government has made big fuck ups on this. I personally think they should be held to account, but not yet while we are still in big trouble with it all.

all the opposition sides are starting to play politics instead of helping deal with it( tories not helping themselves by not involving other parties enough maybe?)

That's the point of an effective opposition. To hold the government to account. Something that Corbyn failed to manage.

Well thats certainly an opinion you've very welcome to hold. I agree that those most vulnerable should be self isolating. The Old(er), the fat, those with medical conditions that catching Big 'Rona might well kill them. Keep those ones safely wrapped in Cotton Wool. But let the rest of the UK back to work, back to School and back to getting on with it.

The thing is the virus is not affecting me that much. Im doing everything I would normally do anyway. The only difference is longer trips away, but also significantly more pay. So my views on this is not from a selfish point of view, just the way I see it. Where I to view this mess from a selfish POV Id say keep the lock down going. Another round of Over Time when I next go back to work is most welcome. ;)

To an extent I agree with you, and I haven't done a great deal different, that said I usually work on my own and I'm used to wearing a mask or BA due to the environment I work in.

I wouldn't fancy going into a factory with hundreds of other folk mind.

It seems the country is split in two halves,

those who want the lockdown lifted this weekend

and those of us who've still got a f&@£:&g brain.

Lockdown while inconvenient for most, is just a few months of our lives. You're a long time deed.

How long do you think the over 70's should remain indoors?

Ive caught six packed flights since this really kicked off. Id happily catch another 6. I work in very close proximity to work mates it really does not bother me as Im not fat, Im not old and I have no medical conditions other than a buggered neck and back.  But yes, keep those who will be affected safe.

I dont know?`Im not an expert.

Id say let them run free as long as they know the dangers involved and the fact they run the risk of not getting a ICU bed. To be honest they seem to be making the most of dithering around Tesco as it is.

I guess we all judge risk differently, I'm also not fat, old or have health problems. I'm choosing to try to keep it that way.

If you agree that 'Herd Immunity' is still the preferred mechanism of this gov then aye, letting everyone do their own thing works. So long as you don't care about anyone who is in an at risk group.
They've stopped all new cases in New Zealand, only 137 deaths.

I never mentioned Herd immunity. I said in a previous post, that I literally posted within the hour that those who are vulnerable should self isolate and let those who have a far lower chance of dying from the virus make their own choices. But, Im not against the Old doing their own thing if they are well informed and aware of the dangers that presents. Sign a deceleration or something.
