Typical comment of a very salty communist loser, will they ever get over the worst labour defeat in history? I’m so glad we ain’t got comrade Corbin in charge of the country at this time, we’d have the Chinese military assisting us with control of the lock down.emoji379.png

China?

The cargo includes face masks, virus kits and infusion pumps for intensive care units.

Now lockdown is going to be eased abit on Sunday but cases are still  high atm. Surely means it will carry on(both lockdown and deaths) for months longer if R value is around 1?

With the exception of schools, the supposed ‘easing’ measures are nothing more than has actually been in place all along - it’s just that media misreported/sensationalised/perpetuated the general hysteria and police attempts at over stretching their authority are starting to bite home and people are finally starting to realise what has always been the case:

Work from home if possible, travel to work and implement PHE guidelines where reasonably practicable.

Can someone explain to me how folk are going to go back to 'normal' work if the lockdown is relaxed and the schools aren't up and running?

Not everyone has the grandparents down the road to off load the kids.

Especially when a lot of those grandparents should be shielding!

just to add my wife’s school is planning on half size classes for years 10 and 12 only. And that might be on a week on week off rotation.

It's a disturbing graph as it would seem to indicate the disease is not being contained until you realise that up to mid April it only showed people hospitalised with the disease, then they added medics and carers who tested positive and latterly tests for over 65s, carers and medics who thought they had symptoms so it it began to indicate the extent of the disease in the wider community.

Of course it does show that the risk of getting it is still higher than most of us expected even though only a fraction of a % of the population are known to have or have had it.

On current trend it doesn't look like it can get below mid march numbers before end June, if ever.
