I’ve been in this situation for a week, initially you try to work out how you can get round it, but after a bit you realise (if you’re running a tree service like me) that it’s not essential and a few weeks out of your life is nothing.

I respect everyone who is staying home and trying to help by doing their bit,i am going to work today as we,ve got about 100 ewes lambing at the minute so need to go,if i were working in the woods as normal, i may stay home

I'm shutting down after today. I have a grass contract with a local council, which I could do as I'm in a tractor, if I dont do it, do I let the cricket field become a hay meadow??

All suppliers are shut down from today, so no fencing etc. If we all abide by this, then we can kick this virus into touch

i closed down last night. I know that we have very minimal contact (3 of us and our families are in lockdown already) and customers dont even need to leave the house for us to crack on. 

If you think about it even things like fuelling up , touching the fuel pump, paying at the kiosk etc its a risk of infection and therefore spreading it.

Not worth it.

So holiday at home and doing all the stuff ive been putting off for the last 10 years!

As well as tree work I have cancelled for the next couple of weeks I have 2 fortnightly grass contracts, one at a school and another on a common area in a private estate of 40 houses. I cut them last week but not sure what to do....do I leave them to grow, I have a feeling that three weeks at home will not be the end of this.

There's no way some work can't be stopped at 20.30 at the order of government.

For instance ;

Like if you ripped a fence down on yesterday to go back today and put up new one especially if farmer wants to put there stock out in a weeks time.

There's got to be other work like that.

Ours closed last night then reopened to sell essential supplies this morning when they realised that.

Mole Valley farmers open as usual.  They will stay open because of animal feed etc
