Had a jogger run past the " footpath closed sign , round the cones , then vault the red and white plastic barrier , jog through the " kill zone " then fall flat on his face trying to vault the plastic barrier at the other end .  What can you do ?

There is always some knobhead who thinks the barriers/coned off area etc doesn’t apply to them, but this isnt the point here really.

This cyclist wasn’t doing anything wrong and could have been killed or seriously injured because of shear negligence and poor planning, these type of cowboys are also one of the reasons your Insurance Premium goes up each year.

I have seen all forms of traffic management ignored. From red lights to physical barriers. It amazes me that irrespective of your control measures it will always be your fault if they evade it ?

On this occasion there was no groundie throwing cones, his helmet, y-fronts & phone whilst screaming blue murder at the cyclist,  so I can only guess they were too good to make a mistake & just slung a few cones out.

I’m renowned for taking the piss on here, but my earlier comment was dead serious.

The lack of professionalism was different level.

Yes , I’ve bent the regs plenty of times, and no doubt will in the future.

BUT I’ve never put peoples lives at risk the way these clowns did.

That could have been my wife and kids driving past at the wrong time just as the stem went sideways.

It could have been your wife and kids.

That aside, dropping gnarly lumps onto tarmac is a shit-storm waiting to happen.

Services?

Anyone trying to defend them with shite about ‘time pressure’ or ‘they were just doing what they were told’ bollocks is part of the problem.

The height of that stump was an absolute piss take too.
