  1. I brought a couple from this company. Really easy to deal with and sorted haulage fir a fair rate .
  2. We have had the same with Squirrels one completely chewed through a green 5 ltr petrol container
  3. Yes we have dropped timber off at various sites . Generally when we need get rid of chip we offer the timber as a sweetener.
  4. No worries. looks like the 20S can pair with more so might give them a shot 👍 Cheers !
  5. How many devices can connect to these at the same time please ?
  6. Cheers for the reply’s ! I used a dewalt before and found the bit kept slipping but may have been damaged before using for eco plugs .
  7. Hello ask the title says which battery powered drill are people using for Eco plugging? I have been using one that we plug into mains but could do with something that we could use without mains . Thanks Tom
  8. A good lump of Yew can be a steady burn . plus 1 for Oak also
  9. Log Grab / grapple for handling up to 2500kg WWW.GOOGLEADSERVICES.COM Weight of grapple hook 105kg. Log Grab with pallet forks suitable for tractor loader, skid-steer and... I have one of these handy for logs and brash also easy to put on and take off.
  10. Probably not paid peanuts judging by the size of the trees but definitely got monkeys mark !
  11. 👍 cheers for that I’ll have a look at them . Tom
  12. What diameter timber can it handle please ?
  13. I was thinking either with the tractor loader or the crane? I guess which ever way you do it is time consuming and by the sounds of it you comprise with the quality of the end product a bit when going through a large splitter. I had previously brought a cone splitter but it didn’t perform how I had hoped so it doesn’t get much use. guess I’ll get the 66 out for a few hours .
  14. This is the sort of stuff . I have to cut a 9 inch log off, then larger ones need to be halved or quartered so the chap who does splitting can comfortably lift them .
  15. Forgotten to say the timber I would be using it for would be 20” plus diameter
  16. No I wasn’t thinking to do a years worth and storage is not a problem. Just thought it would be more time efficient to do that rather than logging up with a saw and them onto the splitter. Just trying to think of the most time efficient way of logging up ( maybe it is with a saw then onto the splitter ? i appreciate the comments. cheers
  17. Hello Iam looking to speed up production of firewood and would be interested to hear which large horizontal splitters you are using. at the moment we bring back timber and cut into rings with a saw and split them with a vertical splitter. I thought if I could cut into meter sections then run the billets through a processor this could speed things up . Thanks
  18. Real shame they must have put a lot of hard graft in over the years and kept a fair few lads busy.
  19. I’ve just seen this advertisement and wondered if anyone knows what happened to this firm ? I spend a bit of time in west Cornwall and used to see them about a lot but didn’t see them this year. They seemed a big outfit so must have left a fair gap in the market down there?
  20. Thanks puffin I’ve read through that before posting but wanted to ask other’s opinions. planning permission has not been applied for at all yet so no conditions pending . thanks for your input !!
  21. Thanks for all you input ! I think we will go and start on the fruit trees then keep an eye on the amount that comes off the cherry’s ( thanks for that chart Ben !). If needs be we can then go back after September and complete, I will make sure to take photos to back up quantities. Slack - Regarding the restocking sites do these have to be “actual sites” or could you contribute to a woodland trust / forestry England scheme ? Thanks again !
  22. Thanks for the reply Rich ! I hadn’t thought of that as an option. anymore input would be gratefully received.
  23. I’ve been asked to clear a small site within it are some small diameter fruit trees ( probably self set sucker growth) a goat willow and some cherries . There are no top constraints or conservation area and planning has not yet been granted. Ecological surveys have been completed and all is clear . it’s my understanding that fruit trees are exempt from a felling license so that will reduce the 5 cubic meters within a Calendar quarter. Would you consider the cherry trees to be exempt as well ? a few pictures of the site attached. Thanks
