  1. Thanks for this I’ll keep an eye on them over the next month and see how they progress.
  2. I drove past these mature Bird Cherrys today at a local recreation ground and was shocked by the infestation of moths and webs they are completely covered and have been completely defoliated . I’ve not seen this before but reading on line apparently it’s a common pest. I can’t see the trees recovering from this ? does anyone have experience of this moth and have trees that have been stripped recovered ? Are there any particular actions that can be taken ?

  11. Here’s a yew log we felled last week about 5.8 feet long and 25 inch across at its biggest point . What would be the best thing to do with it ? Alaskan or get it to someone with a bigger mill ?

  14. Palms 8 Tonne Forestry Trailer With 6.8 Metre Crane Tractor Forwarder WWW.EBAY.CO.UK It has 4 timber bunks, 8 pins, is braked on 2 wheels and has a steering drawbar. Evening just seen this on eBay . Do you think it’s a scam ?

  17. Sometimes depending on timber species although this one is through the insurance so there will be a invoice in the post. It’s worth paying though I reckon there would have been a good few days cutting that thing up. We still have a day / 2 of tidy up to get the garden something like
  18. We had a large fallen beech tree at a home with poor access . Nick got his timber truck in and saved us cutting it into rings ? Excellent job

  20. I got asked by a third party to quote it I told him I would be looking around the £8000 mark but that was me not really wanting it but if it came off then make a decent amount out of it
