And even better is the odd picture I get sent of an overgrown Leylandii or similar in someone's garden asking if I will cut the tree down and pay them.

Here is a nice picture I was sent a few days ago, offering me these top quality specimens.  I am not buying softwood logs just now, so if anyone is interested I will pass the contact details on.  I am not totally convinced they are fully mature and ready for felling though.  Maybe the owner should give them a few more weeks?

At the moment the things that grate are:  starting a sentence with 'so', asking 'Can I get' instead of may I have and the incessant use of upward inflection.......sometimes even the whole sentence seems to be upwardly inflected.

YES YES YES GRAHAM . At last, I am not the only one. I feel human again.
I count the R4 interviewees responses by the ‘so’ sometimes , and as each one tallies , I turn slightly more puce with rage.
What the hell is it with ‘fashion speak ‘

The rising inflective was bloody ‘Neighbours’ fault if you ask me!!!!

Phew.....I think I need a herbal tea ??‍♂️

i'll add to it, the incessant use of the word 'like' about 5 times in every sentence.

Utterly bewildering aren’t they ??
My ‘small town brought up ‘ eldest son speaks like he’s from Hackney and black !!!! (I blame his estranged life with his mother !!!)

Exactly same here. I bought her a dyson. What more does she want?

I used to get this as well, until one day I said
“ it’s when there are NO bits of sawdust/Woodchip/dried conifer needle being scatterbombed across the floors that all this work pays for that you should be anxious “

She didn’t get it, still moaned, so I divorced her !!!! Life is sweet ????

She’s moaning that I am spending the weekend dismantling a sycamore in our yard instead of doing what she wants to do. I then pointed out it was she that told me to fell it as the sap was fecking with the washing and the cars. In the week I’m bloody working so when else can I do it?

Nothing wrong with the French, mind you I can't say the same for English people who move there because they think its good to have a French address, or they believe it makes em come across as cultivated or worse, cool.in a slightly jarring sort of way.

I mean why would you?... pretentious pricks..  Yea I sip wine and watch the sun set from converted french farmhouse.. get the fk out of here....    whats wrong with drinking a pint at a pub in England?...

Thats another thing that winds me up, pretentious wankers thinking people admire their decision to move to France, any other country I see it, get it..   but France?...   what pretentious pricks...  pass me the croissant darling..  the wines lovely isn't it,  made from the finest grapes of the Dordogne..

French wanna be scumbags......

I wonder if this comes across as mocking in any way?............. I hope it does.
