It's illegal to spread untreated shite.

I'm guessing the stuff stubby is talking about is 'sludge cake'.

The Sludge taken from sewage works to sludge reception plants that is treated ready to go on the land.

Sludge cake, theres a euphemism if ever I saw one.. that'll be a mixed bag of treated sewage, johnnies and used sanitary towels..

A fella I knew used to work on a sewage plant nearby, he got into the business of selling this shite from the back of his van.. pound a bag..

it didn't last long, after he dropped a load off and the old lady went berserk when he poured out a bag of soil/sewage and used durex LOL...

No. The used johnnies and sanitary towels will be screened out during the treatment process.

lots of cake goes through the process more than once to make it compliant to be spread.

We don't just spread raw shite on the land any more. Lots of sampling/testing of soil is done before water companies supply cake to farmers.

Its actually like a sort of dark brown powder or small pellets . The smell is diminishing now as its been worked in . Its not a new thing here its just the combination of wind direction and the close proximity caught me out a bit yesterday !

I spread about 70,000 tonnes of sewage cake a year. Personally I prefer it to cow pig or horse muck. I have never seen any durex tampons or anything else. No dead sheep tyres or concrete in it. A risk assessment must have been done by law prior to any application commencing.

I've had some mad nights but even then I've never flushed anything like that down the khazi. :scared1:
