Yes, I've been thinking that as I've followed this thread. Thousands of pounds for a day's shooting, and the beaters get a couple of twenties and a few freebies. I suppose they have to make in a few days what it costs to run the estate for the year.

Wasn't really trying to make any comparisons, just wondered what it costs to shoot for a day.

For the most part the beaters do it for enjoyment rather than money it seems.

Think it was about £10 a day when I started, saved all my beating money and bought a brand new baikal .410 single barrel, still got it awesome ratting gun [emoji16]

Anywhere from £150- £1k depending on location bag size and quarry. Grouse would be top

up here £40 a bird plus vat,or £100 a bird for grouse .mind you i get 16 days shooting for £750 but we have no beaters:thumbup:

Syndicates usually work out at at 100-500 pounds a day.

 

Sky is the limit for one off peg shooting or buying a whole day. £500 - £tens of thousands
