Are wood burners getting smaller!!!

I have had a few enquiries from potential customers if I can supply 6" and 8" logs !!

Are any of you also having enquiries for these very small logs??

Yes,we've had a few requests for 6inch logs. I hate cutting them, they go everywhere in the processor. It's normally from people with rayburns who can fit in 9inch after you can give them a bit to try so it's worth double checking with people.

Thats why my Burley is rated at a " nominal " 5KW but actually punts out more .....You can fit the room kit though . Will take 12" logs side ti side or 10" logs back to front .

Agree, some barely take one average size log.

A few people we know have oversized their wood burners but then can't live in the room, so it's always shut down, which as we know is not good for the flue. Perhaps that message is getting around and more suitable sizes are being sold.

I always leave my processor set to cut logs at 8".

We sell mostly 8" and 10" but have had a few want 6" also had people ask for gigantic stuff that's been like 20" long. But that's very rare. Also not many people have open fires now it seems.

My sisters just got one of the chilly penguin stoves with the oven on the top and the firebox is tiny. Lovely stove but a 7-8" log just fits in! We do get the odd request for a 6-7" log but not that often
