Though ignoring that 94% of UK immigrants are authorised, and out of the rest many are seeking asylum and sanctuary in the UK from wars and persecutions elsewhere - immigration as a whole to the UK can be predicted to happen. The last government and this one have encouraged about 1 million immigrants a year. With that number there will be those that come along for the ride when they are not meant to. I guess that is predictable. The predictions are that with the UKs flat to falling birth rates we 'need' immigrants to sustain the system as our home grown population falls - governments will keep authorising a lot of immigrants to feed the system for good while yet.

I use software from Otiss/Pear Technology. It's about £360/year. Helpful support staff. I would do some practice surveys first and get the hang of using it. There are a lot of options re what you record. Then there is the facility to download as pdf files or Excel. I find the Excel a bit of a pain as not too familiar with setting out. Also with such a large acreage, you will have to see what sizes to divide the site up for your online maps. It's a very big site for beginning out on, so definitely do a few practices in a park or small woodland.

I think you’re asking too much with a 14” bar. Is the sprocket 1/4P? We’ve found the best combo to be standard Stihl 10” bar for the 151 with a 57DL chain. Fits straight on and works a treat.

Scared of a worm. Poof. Aim for it. Show it who’s boss. I picked an apple up from a mate’s garden the other day. Had an obvious wormhole. No hesitation. No surrender. Straight into the arsehole end of it and ate everything bar the stalk. I like to think I made some sort of point there.

yes they are good, we have about 10 sets and they dont give too many problems

A sudden change of tune from before when Trump was also suggesting that the Ukraine should concede territory, roll over, and let the invaders take what they want to. 3 things happened this week: - Trump met Putin, suggests that the Ukraine gives over territory, no cease fire, just negotiate end of war - Trump met Zelensky, suggests a cease fire should happen before anything else. Goes quiet on giving up territory. - Russia bombs a US owned factory, Trump suggests "interesting times ahead" and the Ukraine should have been allowed to fight back - the opposite of Monday and rolling over. Still a couple of days left in the week for Trump to set out his definite position on the war. Depends I think who talks to him next, spineless and just says what he thinks will please the latest person to talk to him.

They may not be a husky dealer and have to pay top price for parts but even then its extreme. Did you do anything with the saw or is it still in a box in bits? Seems a waste if it is.

That looked good but it seems that you cant get them in the UK anymore. The start system on the br800 is to say the least a complicated setup! Ive only had two in for repair, one was was because the customer thought it was a four stroke and put neat petrol in it. The other was a starter issue. The starter was jamming open, I couldnt see any issue apart from a clean and grease and it seems to be working OK up to now.

As a sort of quick leak test I use brake cleaner fitted with a d40 smart straw (this thing WD-40 Smart Straw 450ml | Toolstation WWW.TOOLSTATION.COM All the benefits of the original WD-40 formula, but with a Smart Straw for precision application. Simply flip the straw up for a narrow stream or fold it down for a regular wide spray... and spray it around the intake boot impulse pipe area. You only need to spray a little, if there is a leak the engine will die. You have to make sure none of the spray is going into the carb, although with a little care you can use it to detect carb leaks. The wd40 will probably act the same as brake cleaner but I use a lot of brake cleaner and I fit them with that straw. Hmmm, maybe I should make some arb saw cleaner, smart straw plus brake cleaner. Yours for only £75.95 a can. Or buy two for £151.90 Bargain.

Its been a long time since I've climbed but that certainly brought back memories! Most of my interactions were killing the thing but sometimes it was just a deadwood and a reduction so not all bad.

Suggest a firewood saw please
Mark_Skyland replied to devonbrion1998's topic in Log burning stoves and fireplaces
Check the wiring first and of course the off switch, if something is shorting out it will stop the spark. Its about £10 for the wiring harness and £100 for the coil. If the rest of the machine is in good condition, loads of compression, no scores on the piston then its definitely worth fixing imo. -
Some little trick ive used for a while since you dont need to start the saw up if you want to check for oil flow and you have an air compressor handy just spin the drum up with a blow gun pointed at the sprocket splines/rim. No chance of a clutch explosion using this method. Still didnt help me solve an oiling issue on a t540i though!

It's good to hear that you've got it running. It is worth using the original carb if you can get it sorted.

If it is like other fruit trees, don't take more than about 1/3 in any year and yes, you should be able to prune it back to a more pleasing shape. I think do it earlier in the year is better than now. As Muddy says, looks a bit dry too - some mulching around the base might help too, dig the grass back a bit to help that out.

Sequoia, newer style. Spent a bit of time in a skyloctec, and the sequoia is by far and away better. Can't stick the webbing bridge.
