  1. Looking for someone with the correct climbing/chainsaw cert and insurance to carry out some crown reduction on a few veteran trees. Located on a private estate in North Lancs /South Lakes area. about 2 to 3 days work. Great location to work. Will be a case of just dropping the limbs/dead wood. I'll do all the ground work (I just don't like climbing) Get in touch (pm) with day rates and availability Many thanks, Paul.
  2. Many thanks Jag. Ill follow them up 👍
  3. Hello All. I'm looking to do my CS32 (felling trees over 380mm) in the Cumbria/Lancashire/West Yorkshire area. I cant seem to find any course running. Does anyone know of one or have contact details for someone running this course in my area? Any information appreciated. Thanks in advance. Paul.
  4. Hi all, my big saw is a makita mcs 9010 and it looks like the coil pack has given up. Does anyone know where I could find another one??? I can’t see anything online that matches. any advice would be great. The old coil pack is stamped with CDIM 120 / 5 (see pictures)
  5. Yeah this works fine with no issues at all. Also have the slabbed attachment which I’ve never used. A sharpener for the circular saw teeth extra blades and a bag of spares. All works fine and dandy and the rails are strait as an arrow too. It just a bit dusty is all
  6. Hi all. Anyone tell me how much my Lucas mill is worth? It will do a 9”-10” cut at its deepest and has the full rack and winches present. It’s in good working order with no issues. It has a 22hp brigs and Stratton vanguard engine. friend of mine offered to buy it as I don’t use it anymore but don’t know what to charge him. Any input is welcomed.
  7. I ended up cutting off what was left of the clutch in to a neat 19mm bolt. Then got a deep socket and the air ratchet gun on full pelt and after about 3 seconds or so it came off 👌 my next option was the dremmel. thanks for your input everyone.
  8. Yeah I’ve shoved the cylinder full of cord past the point of the ports. Its jammed up nicely. I’ve been told it’s not so good to use a impact driver on them but if that’s what it takes I’m left with little other option. I’ll give it a go tomorrow.
  9. Hi all. I have been cleaning up damage from storm Arwen for the past week and just yesterday my beloved MS 362 locked up on me and cut out. Couldn’t turn it over at all. On further investigation I found the clutch snapped in to about 4 pieces! I’ve fished it all out and got a new clutch. But I can’t for the life of me unlock the remaining clutch price off the spindle. I know it’s reverse thread. But it is jammed tight. I’ve shocked it with a mallet on the 19mm breaker bar but it’s not budging. Wondered if anyone else had a good idea or experience of getting these removed?
