Hi all, Me, the Mrs and our two kids are moving to Australia on 7th November. We are heading back down to my old stomping ground of Thanet, East Kent for a while to spend time with family before we go. I'm hoping to find work while we are down there to help fund the move. I'm looking to fill from the 6th October - 31st October (4 weeks). I'm happy to travel a little way from Thanet but not too far as it defeats the object of getting as much money behind us as we can to then spend it on fuel. Distance is negotiable if the right opportunity presents itself. I'm pretty experienced, switched on, motivated etc. I've been doing tree work for 13 years, climbing for 11 of those and Team Leader / Lead Climber for most of the firms I've worked with in the last 8 years. Plenty of shining references if required. By then I would have probably sold all my climbing gear and will be down to a saw, boots, helmet and trousers so I'm looking for groundie work to see me through. As for daily rate, I don't know what experienced groundies are getting in that region as I've been in the South West for a while now. Again, negotiable but must reflect my level. Alternatively, if agreed in advance I can put off selling my climbing gear and bring it all down with me. If I'm climbing, I'd expect £200 a day. The only reason I am aiming for ground based work in Thanet is, the sooner I put all my gear up for sale, the better the chance I have of selling it all in time. All the correct tickets, EFAaW+F, MEWP, own saw and PPE, own transport, robust attitude, thick skinned, reliable and happy to crack on with whatever I'm thrown at. If you want to discuss it further or you know of someone looking for a groundie, let me know. You can WhatsApp message me on 07543607500 or message me on here. Thanks in advance, Chester.

just as good as its adjustable so you can always have it level plus it can also be just a ladder which takes you up to 30ft on a big tree, bottom bar isn't a pain at al;l you undo it, adjust until level, then push it back down

It’s surely going to stick to the inside of the chute. Delighted to be wrong. Looks like you’re the tester.

Enough is enough now, this coming from what some would call a lefty. A couple I know are wardens on a Haven Holiday Park in Cleethorpes, last night two coaches turned up with a hundred of these immigrants, this site costs £1200/week at this time of year, you know, the sort of place hard working folk take their children on holiday. Someone tell me wtf is going on.

This advert is for my Timberwolf TW150DH woodchipper. It is in good condition for the age, and has been an absolutely fantastic little machine. I have owned for just over 12 months, when it came to me it had an extensive list of work done (see pictures) and since has only done approx 100 hours. It has just been fully serviced (22/8/25) including new belts & blades, oil & filters, brakes & wheel bearings adjusted etc. Only selling as workload requires a bigger machine. It is a very straight machine ready to go straight to work. Hours will increase slightly as it is still in use. Machine will be available from 8th September due to new machine being delivered. Any questions please PM or call/text. £4500.00 no vat (private sale)£4,500

Prestigious is the word I’d use, not unusual, but not the preserve of everyday folk.

Matty is on the money if you want to run the 14". Drill the bar as otherwise you will have to get chains made up. The stihl 10" needs 57 not 56 dl, the 12" 65 not 64 so I guess you need 73 which isnt available off the shelf, 57 and 65 are.Or do as Mark said and put a 10" on with a 57dl chain. Also as Matty mentioned make sure you have the 1/4" sprocket on your saw.
