  3. that is an interesting post - to grasp the whole history of the Arabs and the Jews back to before Jerusalem would take a while and give a better perspective. I know Jews throughout the world have faced pogroms, but during the Crusades europeans murdered plenty of Arabs. The history that is being written now - Netanyahu is a modern day crusader - slaughtering Arabs and stealing their land
  4. That one was sheer luck. I don't have a go daily but when I do if I get nowhere by line 4 I give up and most of the time I forget to get back to it.

  8. So the make-a-wish kid is in the UK, not London of course, too many people who find him disagreeable, but having dinner at a palace! He can tick that one off his wish list. Disneyland only has a castle, so off to the UK to a real palace, and a real king. Tick, make a wish, one more dream come true. Seen that they have put out the flags for him, seeing on the news a nice one with his pedo best friend. But I am putting the man down, we should celebrate his successes.... struggling now, all his big policies, any success? Putin.. still invading Gaza.. still with hostages, no hell let lose Tariffs.. still waiting for a check from any other country.. but the US citizens are plugging the gap paying trillions more in taxes Groceries... it is an old fashioned word, Groceries, still not dropping in price Epstein files... no sight of them yet .. so let us celebrate his successes if you can find any.
  9. Aye, he was a warrior. Sad loss.
  10. @doobin is it as simple as long or regular? Or long, regular, short? I’ve found a doonsan dx19 & bobcat e20 with regular dippers….allegedly

  12. Yes absolutely; cut them down to a little over size before kilning. Expect some end splitting and cupping. Make sure everything has extra thickness and length so you can machine it to exact size when doing the build.

Never had so many, the largest are around 175mm. I've always known them as horse mushrooms, all I know is they are tasty.

  18. A request for help & assistance with regard to an Arada 'Villager' wood burning stove: The model is an 'AH' (with canopy), This is installed in a property i have recently let. The stove had no throat/baffle plate fitted. Having recently purchased one direct from Arada Stoves in Devon, I am unable to fit it, as there is no (obvious) means of fixing/locating the top of the plate. I received a 'user guide' via PDF from Arada, The lower part of the plate sits on the top of the rear heat bricks, the guide then suggests when fitted, it lays forward at a 45 degree angle, with the top resting on either a 'single lug welded at the top front of the stove', or 'behind two lugs, welded one each side of the top of the stove' While there are two (i would say ledges, rather than lugs) on each side, near the top, and one narrow ledge, towards the top front, these are some distance apart from the plate when i hold it in situ, and thus no way i can utilise them, there are no other mountings/brackets visable, ( no sign of any broken off/corroded either), As a result i am at a loss as to progess forward. Any suggestions, images/pics of the inside of this model, (or similar) with both the plate fitted, and removed would be very much appreciated, to at least have an idea of 'what's what'. Many thanks in advance.

  27. Well the 109 Dolmar CC was a real old battle scarred veteran, but like a lot of my Dolmars ran like a Swiss watch, another Dolmar cc 117, and the 075 turned out to be oil pump seals, all cured now and picked up a couple more McCulloch 250 with a bullfrog carb that I need to either sort out or machine an adapter to a Tillotson, and a Remington with starter issues. having recently seen a big 350 Villiers Danarm I now have an itch for one of those, or any two man saw as I have not got one. so if anyone has one at the back of the shed or barn,, give me a shout.
