You want a simple answer, yes he's actually doing some good and the rest of the world is following sanity. To use South park, it's the end of wok. Finally reality has arrived instead of talking about hurty feelings and other woke/employment daycare issues.
-
Distraction. Thinking about it objectively, how has he made the world a better place? Can you list even a few things that have improved since your man Donald took up office? Anything, even just for the average American. Be honest please. From what most of us see we are now considerably more fcked than we were. By any metric you choose to measure it on. Other than firing a shit load of blue haired people with pronouns, scientists and judges, what has he actually achieved? Making lots of money for himself and a handful of tech bros and cooperations doesn't count. I'm talking about quality of life for average, hardworking people, the world over.

There's a very big divide between concerned and a someone's almost addicted obsession with every fart and traffic ticket issued in America. Some of those here seem to equate everything with it being Donald's fault, the man could single handed solve world hungery/peace and probably all the other world's ills and they'd still be unhappy.

So this is the bit that I don't get. Well, one of the bits. I've seen this accusation leveled quite a few times over the course of this long discussion. The "why are you concerned about what happens in another country?" thing. Answer; because what happens in the US profoundly affects the rest of us in the world. Such is the way of things now, (we don't live in the 1500s or something), and the fact that the US is the world superpower. I can accept that subjectively you obviously love Trump. Each to his own. However, thinking about it objectively, how has he made the world a better place? Can you list even a few things that have improved since he took up office? Anything, even just for the average American. Be honest please. From what most of us see we are now considerably more fcked than we were. By any metric you choose to measure it on. And he's only been POTUS, for less than a year. I dread to think what state we'll be in in three years time. Other than firing a shit load of blue haired people with pronouns, scientists and judges, what has he actually achieved? Making lots of money for himself and a handful of tech bros doesn't count. I'm talking about quality of life for average, hardworking people, the world over. There's obviously a lot of other shit going down across the globe right now. I'm not saying that Trump is responsible for all of the bad stuff. Just that the US, as the superpower, and hence the POTUS, has a big influence on world events and geopolitics.

wow, did something happen while I was asleep? people are not only actually talking about a political subject without resorting to insults and ridiculous names,,,, but actually agreeing about it. lets see how long we can keep it up.
-
No it doesn't. Character and general conduct on this site buys one a lot of breathing space here. Political ideology doesn't have much to do with it. There's a lot of other people on here who are actually as right leaning as you are, if not more so. They get along with everyone just fine. If you set yourself up as the site lunatic you shouldn't be outraged if you get some flack and mockery for your antics.

The big choice is whether you go for a PROFESSIONAL range of saws like Stihl MS241, MS261 etc. These cost about £800 are solidly built, easier to replace parts, but heavier than a CONSUMER/PRIVATE saw. Consumer saws are lighter, less robust, but are much cheaper. For example the MS212 about £400. You could even go as small as a MS161 which costs about £150. This would only take a 13 inch bar though. I have a few of these cheap saws and if you took after them you can get 5-10 years out of them depending on usage. Any saw will die if you strain it or overheat it.

I seem to remember, not that long ago, an unbelievable amount of tax payers money being wasted on a Covid track and trace system that never worked. I have serious doubts that they could even manage this idea, even if everyone wanted it. If only there was a way to coherence people into having one, just like the Covid jabs, if only the was an ‘invasion’ of some sort that could be stopped, but allowed to continue, that might help push it over the line.

So all of us who live here legally already with NI numbers and multiple forms of Verifiable ID being mandated to carry digital identification will stop those crossing the channel “illegally” 🤔🤔 Care to explain how you see this actually working.

I could swear I posted already! Enjoy your Friday safely please! Tom just told us of a story from Santa Pod. A team with a 9 second car (right fast), accidentally put diesel in the tank and not race fuel. On realising the error, they drain the tank and refill. But neglected to do the hoses (big diameter), filter (huge) or rail and fired it up. The thing worked but the pall of smoke caused such a frightening that the fire marshal's shut the track as they thought there was a pit fire! Laughing stock now is that team! Curve, Offal

"This to be in place by the end of the decade" Wow. This lot work really fast. Sounds like "let's pass this hot potato to the next lot". Or, "unless we tax everyone even more to hide this statement, the voters will forget another promise we cannot make!"

And armed forces, some places of work too, and that's to stop those who have no right to enter...hey wait a minute! Sounds like a plan.

Looking for flail for small tractor
Alan Smith replied to Alan Smith's topic in Forestry and Woodland management
Thanks guys, someone had suggested to me previously a topper would be better for me. I've never used a flail and assumed for a small machine would be lighter and handier. I'll have a look to see what's available for a small machine, any recommendations? I'm in Sussex if that helps re suppliers etc. -
