If you have to run a 36" bar a bigger saw would be advised. I think 24" is the recommended longest bar for a 365 and you are way past that. I'm sure the USA has plenty of people doing it with ported 365 and full skip chains but that don't make it right!! If your chain is sharp and you are cutting softwood you might make it work?

Stihl have the MS300i, it is a fuel injected saw. It was a false yt video, people will do anything for a click.

There is no right or wrong answer with bar lengths but that sounds a bit extreme. I can't remember if the 365 is 65 or 70 is CC, but the old rule of dividing the cc by 3 is about right, which would be 23, so it sounds like you are already pushing it at 28 inches. Personally for a 36 inch bar id go for a 90 or 120 cc saw. Also unless you are milling, there are very few situations in the UK where 36 inch bars are essential. If you are milling, this is even tougher for the saw and I would still to a 120 cc saw for a 36 inch bar.

Hi to all, am new here. Can anyone tell me all the differences between these two saws. They seem close in power, do they use the same size chassis. Do they use the same size clutch, carb, and airfilter setup. Which one would you chose of the two. Am looking for a saw to do some firewood, cut branches back around the house and take care of fallen trees. There seems to be a big difference in price between these two saws, wonder if it is justified.

I doubt it and I bet they cost a lot. Stirling engines are typically in hermetically sealed units, like freezer compressors, to prevent leakage of working gas. The only DIY thing I would consider would need petrol, diesel, LPG or mains gas. A small water cooled engine and in my case just running to charge a battery an hour or two a day in winter.

Just for my interest; is there a shear that would grab a bunch of gorse, birch or holly coppice, pull the whole bush and root up, then shear the root off? Say up to 3" diameter and generally shear 5"? What size 360 would it need?

I bought a cheap KATSU Bench Drill Press recently that seemed to have two ON buttons, one of which you needed to keep pressed, so two handed operation. Its now permanently cable tied on.

Sorry to hear that mate- been there, and it's rough. Firstly, if the pills aren't helping after a month, definitely get the dose tweaked. I started at 50mg, that did **************** all, then went up to 100mg, which was a game changer. Be prepared that the first few weeks can be tough on the new dose. I also found therapy useful, did it via the betterhelp app. Once I'd settled with a therapist, I took the sessions privately, and binned off the app. Some people find CBT helpful. I didn't. If it weren't for the therapy and tablets, I doubt I'd be here, let alone having started a new career in this industry, and be absolutely loving it. Personally I dont get the two handed operation safety logic? When I use a big cut off saw I operate that with one hand on the trigger, I’ve managed to work out that if I put my free hand in the sharp spinny bit my hand will most likely become detached from my wrist. When I use a lathe/miller, whatever, again it’s not really rocket science to know it’s not a good idea to put your pinkies in the danger areas! The two handed operation inevitably leads to one person loading/unloading the beam and another operating the dual levers-100 times more dangerous than single handed operation. The world has gone nuts with this safety overkill! Makes me sad to have to live in this era🥹 Anyways, that’s my Friday whinge over with now, off to split some wood……with my single handed modification🤣👍

Hi there, i am currently running a 28inch bar on a Husky 365, as it has plenty of power could anyone let me know if it would take a 36inch bar please.

It is something that men 'don't talk about'... when in reality we should! Once you talk to others about depression you realise it is not something that you are alone in suffering from - a great first post to bite the bullet. There are many many resources out there that can help, I think AndysManClub was mentioned on here a while ago also. Somewhere there is a solution that works for everyone. Second thing I was going to mention is that there is no single cause, and it is often the little causes that no one notices - a relationship break up for example, all your friends will call to ask how you are doing. A heavy work load for a month? No one is going to phone "I heard you were too busy, how are you feeling" (as an example). Perhaps we shouldn't wait till a friend has broken before we ask how they are? Perhaps we should take away the filters in our mind when we do ask and listen better to the reply we get given? Hoping that having taken the first steps, things get better for you soon.

Anyone got one of the new angular looking Skarper chippers? I've read all about how they started as a rebadge Haecksler 3 but they seems to have remodelled now the c90 is discontinued?
