  2. That is the OED Mr Thicky and has a reference to the first known use. Mong is a disgusting word, especially for anyone who has in their family, or knows anyone who has Down's, you disgrace of a human. Is he guilty of anything? Or did you jump to conclusions again Thickster?
  3. I have one on my 500i.. Stihl Full Wrap Handles BELLEBROOKARB.CO.UK Stihl Full Wrap Handles For control and handling I asked my stihl dealer to get one initially. They just said they aren't available in the EU. Which is wank to not supply that for one of the best arb saws available when you can readily get one for a 462.
  4. So am I, more so as I got older and can't see the benefits in automating and mechanising everything. Physically doing things is satisfying and mostly good for the body. AI is good at recognising patterns, in fact a digital computer only compares things, it can't even do binary adding but uses a quirk of ANDing to look like it's adding. I had great hopes of AI when a guy from Logica explained how a computer programmed to be "intelligent" could recognise objects in unfamiliar surroundings and that was in 1987. I had expected an AI triage system at a hospital or GP's; breathe into a machine to analyse metabolites in your breath, similar for blood, urine and faeces and check them for DNA of foreign microbes. After all there are more viruses and bacteria in you than you have cells of your own.
  5. £45 a pair from the one retail outlet I found
  6. At least you have the option of a Bronco without importing one.
  7. Sorry, Doug.
  8. Yes and yes, although the hinge quality on most Ash trees particularly the larger ones are unaffected by Ash dieback. Another tree served notice on by the highways. Set back 5m from the road edge with relatively lol usage and hardly declining. No way did it warrant removal let alone 28 day notice from highways. Very poor judgement. Sadly I was just the hired gun to kill it for another company. I'm awaiting a job direct for myself where I can offer to appeal the notice. Its all to common the highways are serving notice on trees that would be deemed tolerable risk if using QTRA which I know they use. So appealing it should be fairly straight forward.
  9. The chilli plants you mean? I've tried before, indoors on window sills. Managed to keep a couple alive over winter, thinking they'd get a head start and do better than new plants the following spring. They didn't. The new plants quickly overtook them after a couple of months and produced more fruit. I think they really miss sunlight over the winter, as well as the heat.
  10. A million years ago when Husky released their first top handle, they went around giving them out. Shortly after a Stihl rep turned up after work and over a few beers asked us at Baumdienst Junge what improvements that could be made to the 020. Grippy handles :Nein if its too slippy you should stop work. sawdust chute : Nein use it vertically if the wind blows bigger fuel tank: Nein spoils ze balance More power: Nein. Use ze groß sage In short it was perfect and we didn't know that.

  15. not everyone, just you. but sure you go ahead and try to make out like im random and not just calling you on your racist shit.
  16. Nice, we seem to have quite a decent crop of chillies too. I think they are scotch bonnets, prairie fire cilli, maybe, and some other one which I can't remember the name of. Need to get them hung and dried before they start to rot! Has anyone had any luck in managing to keep the plenty alive over the winter?
  17. Only a matter of silicone
  18. I'm a self confessed Luddite. Point taken about the applications for labour always shifting in the past. This feels like a bigger step change, more fundamental though. It greater than just automation. Also, service industries are a mixed blessing. They've not been good for this country in the last 50 years. Last paragraph: completely agree.
  19. Scientists Built a Computer Out of Shiitake Mushrooms—and It Works WWW.VICE.COM Scientists have just built working computer components out of shiitake mushrooms. What does it mean for the future? Sustainable memristors from shiitake mycelium for high-frequency bioelectronics JOURNALS.PLOS.ORG Neuromorphic computing, inspired by the structure of the brain, offers advantages in parallel processing, memory storage, and energy efficiency. However, current semiconductor-based...

  21. Great, we can compare notes! Jelly is a more accurate description, you're right. I drain the juice out through a Muslim net after stewing. They're such knarly things, you need to really.
  22. Oh, I didn't see that bit. How much? I'll sit down in preparation.
  23. I've been having a right laugh dealing with a German manufacturer of a thingy for my widget. National stereotype wholly deserved. Was it car cars or supply chain you used to work for spud? A name we'd know?
  24. I have a couple of kilos to deal with tomorrow - they'll make jelly - with another kilo of less ripe ones bletting. Should be a laugh; me and cooking go together like strawberries and axle grease.
  25. Go for the path of least resistance, import from abroad but be aware of any import duty you may have to pay. Typical German company, don't take it personally, it is just the way they are....worked with them for 30 years 😱😱
  26. Nice price too 😱
  27. Struggled he says, one over par. And I'm still out looking for my ball in the lake!
