Thanks @Mick Jones yes well it seems that it is not out of the realms of possibilities that the push rods can bend with out something being terminally wrong. Well it was my wife who was tractoring prior to it breaking god knows what she was about, well mucking out without the rear weigh on- makes it a hard job with out the weight as there is already too much weight on the front end.

I'm pretty sure this is a known problem. What I did with mine was to buy an extra fibre washer and fit two washers at a time for a snugger fit. Seems to work OK that way.

markieg31 it may be worth checking valve spring lengths on the bench if you have the valves out to reseat them. Weak valve springs could be cause of bent push rods? Possibly? Mick.

Yes I have always regarded the timber of the true cedars to be much the same. Certainly the apparent properties of the ones I have milled over the years are identical. Totally different from the fake cedars of course - ie the cypresses (western red cedar, white cedar).

AD blue tank with pupmp cost 3500 plus vat , waiting time to get one 6 week ,total bill 4500 plus vat and that every 3 to 4 years ahead of u , if weather is frosty ! Door panels fell of at year 1 , rear bar with tow hook is a joke so low u will not be able to drive in many places unless relocate the bar ,u cant even get front and side windows heated at same time ......so after wet day you doomed, side mirrors can be scratched with microfibre cloth .ENGINE IS GOOD ,GEAR SELECTION IS AWEFULL , PULLING POWER EXELLENT , LOAD CAPACITY IS VERY GOOD ,TURNING ANGLES IS FANTASTIC .UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO NOT BUY AOTOMATIC GEAR BOX , YOU WARNED ! AD blue is a pain BIG PAIN!!!!

Separate, extra oiler.... epic saws! I also had 5 Partner Pioneers that were ex military unused, go those cheap after a burglary!

Heavy for the cc's but the least vibrations of any saw from that era that I've ever used. The two opposing cylinders negate vibration.
