The educational establishment (especially universities) have really been caught napping by AI. Apparently most universities have no policy or method of determining how much of students’ work is their own. And when you add to that the fact that most assessments are now course based (very few degrees need exams now according to my ChatGpt) it is quite a pickle. I had a chat with my own son’s maths teacher last year about the system they are made to use for maths homework (when he was in Year 10 so age 14). I pointed out to the teacher that because of the way the system (Sparx maths) works it encourages pupils to cheat. He assured me it was impossible for kids to cheat as they all get set different questions. I had to inform him that most likely every kid in his class knows exactly how to cheat using a whole variety of apps, all of which are literally in front of them on the same screen as they are using to do the homework. Even Google lense gives the answer to all these problems, with all the correct workings to copy down for the workbook. My twelve year old now uses Sparx Maths, and sure enough all his mates know how to cheat. This raises one of the critical points. Organisations have to very quickly come up to speed and work out what impact AI could have and how they will manage it. Right now schools and universities are clueless as to what the impacts are, or what they need to do.

As it moves slightly on the AV when you tip it forward it could be opening a split in the fuel hose . As Kram says replace that just to eliminate it .

Spot on. I remember similar questions when the Internet was really taking off in the late nineties. And of course there is no simple answer. Now with the benefit of hindsight we can say that the internet is a powerful tool. So is a helicopter. Both can be used for amazing good things and both be used for evil. And of course a whole world in between. No doubt AI will likewise be a powerful tool.

You say fuel screen and impulse hose, but has the fuel hose been replaced? I'd replace that and be sure theres no kinks when it moves around in the tank.

New defender cant make its mind up whether its a freelander ,range rover or discovery, its built in the check Republic, parts will be expensive, axel articulation is shit, and a video online shows it being pissed on offroad by a dusta, Its not if its got a small engine or not , its how's its geared, and if it was good enough for civil engineering in Ireland its good enough for anyone and u could by two for the cost of that crappy defender. I have a 2020 Stihl ms201tc which cuts out when tipped forwards and down. It starts up and idles fine. If I hold it up as if to cut a branch it's fine, but I tip it down it gets to about a 45 degree angle and cuts out. I've had it looked at and they're at a loss. Carb has been overhauled ( disassembled, ultrasonic clean and overhaul kit fitted), fuel screen replaced, new impulse hose fitted, fuel tank vent replaced, crank seals inspected, m-tronic reset. Fresh fuel used. I've since swapped a known good carb and same issue, so can rule out carb problem. As it's been sat on the bench for a few weeks now I noticed its pooling oil, so although crank seals were inspected maybe have since failed? - I don't know (tbh I don't even understand how that effects it) If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated?? Thanks

Borneo ‘76. Did something very similar on a 400’ mahogany with some twisted vines and a monkey skull. Launched it through a Series 1 exhaust pipe with some black powder. K

What does that do that a 7 pin socket can't? Is it because the lights are canbus controlled?

Another day of trying to entertain Mum or at least, steer her away from things which get her annoyed! I made Lasagne last night and she insisted on getting it out of the oven her way and dropped it! Good job only a little went on her and not all was wasted! Tile floor made the clear up easier.....possible fossil hunting at Charmouth today and written job offer should arrive too. Morning all, Working on the Iveco trailer lighting circuit. Looks like the fault is in the dedicated ECU. Housed in the rear wheel arch behind the wheels. Had to replace it 3yrs ago due to water ingress. It even has a metal stone deflector in front of it. That’s admitting it is a poor design. Glad my vehicle is 10 years old, because a newer one would need the ECU fitting then coding. Will also replace the harness from the ECU to the 13 pin socket. Rant over, have a good day.
