It's not a surprise nor unreasonable that the coppers couldn't get there and fix it in under x minutes. That was the defence given by someone at the BBC I heard when challenged about the disproportionate amount of airtime given over to Reform. It doesn't stack up to me. They're just a symptom of the wider problems in truth. I believe that it's more likely that the media, (traditional and socials), backed by big tech and big money, are the actual agender setters.
