  1. Past hour
  2. In fairness to councils there is a hell of a lot of admin and organisation needed to run an election. I've worked for local councils many times on local and national elections as a Presiding Officer and on counts. It is a big operation even for local elections, yes a lot is carry over but new temporary staff have to be recruited, trained and security checked and often places used as polling stations are not available so suitable new ones needed. Printing schedules are tight as candidates need to be selected, nominated and vetted and that's only just started.

OK. South West generally. Same question.

I know £100 just feels a bit much after what Ive already spent on it. This thread prompted me to clean the air filter and try and fix it. I found that the mesh insert was out of shape and preventing a proper seal at the bottom. I also temporarily patched a hole in the metal filter with epoxy. I'll see if this stops fine dust entering and then replace both filters.

    Cornwall and Pembrokeshire as well.
  6. I do wonder sometimes, surely they just roll out what they did the last time? And the time before, and the one before...
  7. I wonder.... pots and kettle and so on. Still doesn't change your post of a small minded man attacking another for past health issues, lying in your post to say they are current health issues.
  8. Another three, getting monotonous. Wordle 1,704 3/6* ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟨⬜⬜🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  9. Today
  10. Dry but cold, Snapped a rib yesterday in a little pain this morning.

  12. Morning all, Weather good, pruning sycamore in school grounds today.
  13. Good morning Arbtalkers 😉 Hopefully some better weather today 😊
  14. I keep a small ring on one of my ropes for the purpose, pop the knot through the ring and a biner to lock it. Thats not going to be nice with a mechanical as it would sit on the links. Spliced eye rope is no problem to put it on when needed, but it'll try to fall off at every opertunity. I do plan to get one but I will likely stay with a simple prussik for stem work.

  16. I'll try and get a better pic, but the upper of the two safety flaps could get bent if caught under/inside a connector like the quickie and then loaded with body weight. Of course if its set correctly then its fine.
  17. But you need to careful using other connectors as there is a slight chance of capturing the upper flap. This picture was done on purpose to show what I mean....
  18. Then i aas going to mention earlier about using it choked on a stem. It works great. Using a pulley to capture the tail end of rope is good.
  19. I have a bit of OCD so I like to use same manufacturer/colour karabiners with each device. These ISC black ones do work well with it.
  20. One thing I like about the ISC swivel is that it fits two Karabiners. Just a tidy place to keep a second Karabiner for MRS when you need it.
  21. Now local councils complaint they don’t have enough time to prepare for elections. They need to accept that no time is needed and they’ll be fighting a losing battle whatever they do
  22. Don't Forget Lonesome Dove. All the Godfather stuff. Powerful as a Good Guy and menacing as a Bad. Proper talent. RIP
  23. Morning all . Abit cooler today , 2c currently . Dry for the most part . Laters .
  24. Good morning Bit of a chill out there. Off to finish at Henley whot whot. Hoping for a quiet week up to a noisy weekend.
  25. Weather a bit less awful today. Topping some ailanthus on a steep slope, crappy work, but keeps the scoreboard ticking over I suppose.
  26. You should be embarrassed lad, the post was utterly pathetic, Mark doesn’t need a guardian angel in particular an anonymous obsessive liar, you try hard with this “ attack “ narrative I’ll give you that. So alluding to mental health issues with zero evidence is fine, but bringing up self confessed issues with alcohol is not 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️fool. Maybe mark should follow some of the old adages “ don’t dish it out if you can’t take it” or “ let a sleeping dog lie” actually Marks not the one dripping like a rancid fanny about it is he 🤷‍♂️it’s rather predictably you SP/TA yet again trying to garner something from nothing in regards your deranged obsession with myself , like you did when you got called out and humiliated recently, twice now by two different members I might add.
  27. I’ve never seen a bowl anywhere near as big as that! Amazing! Get about 48 weetabix in that!😎😎
