  16. everything i bring back to the yard has value. odd length logs, stump cuts and chogs goes for arb waste timber which we are paid for by the artic load. All softwood 2.5m in length and up to 1.2m diameter goes for chip by the artic load. Hardwood cord upto 400mm diameter goes to a couple of firewood dealers, they either buy it by the artic load or i sell smaller loads delivered with tractor and trailer. Oversize hardwoods go to a couple of guys who firewood it for their own use, again sold and delivered by the tractor and trailer. Chip goes out by the artic load. il even mix stump grindings in with older chip to make a nice mulch for people who want it for flower beds which i sell by truck or tractor and trailer loads upto 35 cubic metres. the only thing that doesn’t have value to me is hedge clippings or rake up

  19. Indeed, the internet is awash with conflicting reports from both sides, highlighting the very point I was making. and it's not restricted to recent events, it's been going on for years, it doesn't take much searching to find similar in the Russia/Ukraine scenario, in the '60,s it was "baby killing" gi,s. war is fought on many levels, and the media are always glad to assist in fanning the flames whether true or false.
  20. Yesterday
  21. As promised, midland 12g s/s Hammer gun made in 1876 for a butcher in Fleetwood, this gun was 1 of 2 identical guns the butcher bought at the same time and when he fell ill he gifted one each to his 2 members of staff, the guy I got it off started at the butchers as a Saturday boy just before WW11 started he then became a full time traine butcher, he said he was given the gun in the mid to late 40s and used it extensively for rough shooting, I acquired the gun early 90s and it was checked out and found to be out of proof on the RH barrel so off to the Birmingham proof house it went and came back stamped up with Moor proof on it than when it was made, originally 1 1/8oz nitro proofed and now 1 1/4oz nitro proofed,, I have not used much since I got it but have shot ducks pigeons and pheasants with it,
  22. yes they probably did chose a child with underlying health conditions to give the articles more shock value, however it was not just that one photo - one article even said some of the doctors were getting too weak to treat patients Even Trump has been suckered by all the propaganda
  23. Next year Rodney, we will be millionaires!
  24. THE PENIS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD. feckin' space bar!
  25. I think it's more than a little naive to think that propaganda doesn't exist in conflict,ww1,ww2,Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, bush/blair, wmd, name any conflict that hasn't used propaganda to gain some kind of advantage, with the evidence aside in this case, it can be fabricated with cgi, actors, coercion, etc. the video was primarily to expose one particular picture that was one example of that, the media could have investigated it's authenticity but when did they ever let truth spoil a good headline scoop.
  26. Indeed yes. There are one or two folk with reputations lower than a snake's bottom, who have been known to ask for payment in advance, only for a catastrophe involving poorly relatives, poorly vans, and/or other terrible events to prevent them doing what they agreed to. I did a wedding where the singing waiters had stiffed the organisers ( groom's parents ) for a considerable sum and vanished, also the caterer ran off with as much cash as he could liquidate a week before the event, and was last seen heading for pastures new. Trust works both ways. Quite possibly. Understandable. It can take a while to build up trust, but a minute to lose it.
