For chain sharpening, no problem with files except it gives me sore hands. If the chain has hit something and rolled the chrome, then blunts the file, makes it slow work. I had a cheapy Lidl one, it only managed a few chains before letting the smoke out. This should make it much faster. It is the finest way to pass a summer afternoon in the UK, either watching, playing or drinking with the team. The ladies love to come in their summer dresses look and appraise the men clad in whites and chat. Unlike the football where they hate standing on a freezing touch line watching the likes of me muddy and furiously hurling foul abuse at all and sundry. I miss it a lot.

All of my family are Yorkshire. Yet I was born in Co. Durham. My dad would ship my man off when preggars to her sister with the hope that I’d pop out there, in a Yorkshire hospital and be able to play county cricket for Yorkshire. I have found memories of summer holidays listening to TMS. Although at theh time I thought it was boring. I, like every other male member of my family played cricket. Every Saturday in summer was either my dad playing village cricket or going to watch my uncle who played at a pretty high level. I remember once going with my dad and uncle to a nets session and had a bowl as Desmond Haynes. He was playing a season at my uncles club. He was polite and a joker and any adult who bowled at him he belted the ball. When us kids bowled he gently would hit the ball back to us.

To be fair to Lucy Connolly, she WAS a victim. What she said was horrible and wrong, but 2.5 years in prison! Whether she was a victim of poor legal advice (her barrister advised her to plead guilty) of politically motivated state over-reach or both is a matter of opinion. (Compare the similar case of Ricky Jones who pleaded not guilty and got off scott free).

Thought I’d start a thread to keep the others clean. Hell of a days play today, 19 wickets, drama aplenty. on the highlights I noticed some very decent slip catching. I played in the slips for my village second team on the odd occasion or wicket keeper. In the slips with a fast bowler at the other end is like trying to catch a cannon ball!

I have a husky 525rx for stuff like that. Light and very good anti vibe and fairly cheap Battery strimmer's are ok but don't have very good run times & will cost more for decent ones but worth considering if you already have a load of compatible batteries. Bigger strimmer will do the job fine also but heavier.

Afternoon fellas I am on the market for a new truck. I have several 3l 150bhp Isuzu and they are great. Has anyone had both and think the 1.9l 125bhp is still up to towing 3.5t well and no engine issues over time? Any advise would be much appreciated

I am only commenting on what I can see in your picture; you could make yours act like a regenerative ram with a diverter, I think it would need to be a "make before break" type so as the flow from the rod side is never shut off (which would cause over pressure in the hose). Also you would need an extra short length of hose. The output from the rod side goes to the diverter, the flow from the diverter feeds to the piston side of the pump. When the ram slows or stops the diverter manually operated dumps back to the existing spool. When the ram reaches the end of stroke the diverter has to be connected to the existing spool, else a one way valve will be needed around the diverter. The splitter I operated with a regenerative spool was a bit disconcerting as it "kicked" when the pressure in the system increased before the regeneration stopped and direct pressure was exerted, this cycled a few time as the ram jerked forward. For my part, and only for my own use, my ideal firewood is a 2" to 4" round piece of hardwood ( birch in profusion on the heath is ideal) 9" long. I wish there was a small machine to cut to that.

I’ve never needed more force than it can give as standard but would like the unloaded speed to be more ie before the 2nd stage kicks in. Mind you I mainly process crap that can’t be milled so often have gnarly bits of elm, ash, oak etc so appreciate the power, I’ve had flyer catch me in the face before so as you say I’m in no hurry nowadays. It supplies me, family and a few friends so no commercial pressure to deal with. Im thinking of upgrading to the box wedge rock model in the future once it’s been around a bit and I can get some good feedback.
