Here's where I got to with it today—having stepped back and had a look there are a couple of branches I'd like to remove to reduce the height just a bit more but overall I think it's looking ok. My goal was to keep it looking NICE as the focal point of the garden and to also take off what felt appropriate and see how it reacts over the next year as per @Steven P's good advice! With that in mind I also wanted to begin the process of making the apples easier to reach etc. I do worry that I took off too much but it was so cluttered in there that it felt right to open it up in this way. Good day, ghastly drag at the end. Thanks for all the advice.

Large front garden off main road with 3 meter wide entrance and plenty of room to drop large loads and turn around. Happy to pay in beer or cash to cover your time. Thanks

What happened with this, did you return it, scrap it or keep and repair?

Tw125/GM130 would be the minimum for anyone serious about tree work.

Not remotely funny would be my take on it. Anonymous prick on the internet calling successful women ugly, standard stuff.
-
Well yeah, but the meme he posted isn’t much better.
-
Agreed. I think he’s a total prick and can’t stand him, but I make him right on this. Hypocrite? Yes. Tax dodger? Yes. Tosser? Yes. Correct in his comment and fully entitled to his opinion? Yes.

Not watched ITV news in years for no particular reason. Was amazed at its bias tbh.

So I will take that as a 'No, your kids weren't taught anything about Bananas in Nutella at School as the video mentions, in fact given they are still in the school, they have received nothing but a normal education" In fact I would propose that all the members here with kids in school, those kids are receiving a 'normal' education and the video posted above as I thought is BS.

Man U would be pretty derelict without immigrants.

I’ll refrain from talking to you ( a known liar ) about my kids ya nosey prick mainly due to your previous sick, disgusting and overtly sexual comments about my daughter, all delivered from behind the cloak of anonymity the internet provides you, that and the fact you actually liked a post containing the same if not worse comments of a now banned member.

Jansen is excellent ‘ze German quality’ branding on Chinese imports. Same product ranges as Lumag in the UK. I particularly like their smiling Germans in overalls on their website. Possibly they assemble a few bits on site in order to claim ‘manufactured in Germany’. If they were built in Germany then MicroPelle would sue the pants off them for trademark infringement I reckon. @Dave Alviti- how come you stopped importing the micro bull?

yeah, they're just not....just media blowing things out of proportion...most normal people fully understood him.

Hmmm, yes, "Autistic Intelligence", that will do.

Lots of good info in there! I settled on a jobeau M200 as that’s what became available- wanted a bigger one and in hindsight should have waited till one came up. It’s ok if you know its limitations but can be frustrating with blockages. Has certainly paid for itself several times over

Yeah I have been reading that, 300 pages..!

Yes, there would have been issues with pedestrian impact safety, airbags, crumple zones, side impact protection and roll-over protection and that is just for starters. By the time they'd made the structural changes required to comply the vehicle would look like a Grenadier. A classic Defender will generally survive an moderate impact with a normal modern car since the car acts as the crumple-zone. A classic Defender is an extremely bad place to be if someone runs into the side of you or if you are in a hard rollover. Surviving either withough injury is rare.

I'm considering to get a small chipper, the style with a gx420 15hp engine. They look reasonably capable - if a pain to feed. There are some small ones with hydrualic feed but the price is a bit too much. Idea being on small jobs to chip into customers garden, save a lot of brash dragging/tipping. Rotatech has you sorted. MORE... Theres also the disc chipper sort. They appear to have a smaller hopper blade and I assume are worse for tangled hedge cuttings/ivy. The drum sort appear to have a 14" wide blade so should gobble ivy with ease? Jansen are based in Germany, not sure exactly where they are built though. We had an existing customer wishing to purchase that exact machine but we had to order two to hit the min order requirement. So hence we've a spare coming in.
