Just had one of our Timberwolves put on a Silver Volvo Estate by two apparently blonde men whilst the team were ferrying logs! They drove off like nutters and apparently nearly knocked off a cyclist. THIS HAPPENED HALF AN HOUR AGO. They will be on so many CCTV cameras and pass so many police that they might get caught soon, surely rush hour in Islington isn't a good time to nick a chipper??? It's obviously bright Orange and is from 2008 so in fairly good condition. FY59 VDT number plate on it until it's removed by the thieves. Any sightings or info greatly appreciated! Thanks, Tom. 0208 540 9968 Microbee Tree management Ltd

hello for sale is our greenmech cm220 55hp 9 inch chipper it was born in 2003 and has only done 430 hours it has a 360 degree turntable which is perfect for the awkward jobs where space is limited.. it has served us well and the only reason we are getting rid of her is because buisness is a bit slow down in devon and we are going to downgrade to an older smaller model. . as i mentioned the chipper is in devon and veiwings are welcome. . we are looking for about £7000 for her and a part ex with an older/smaller chipper would be considered. . any more info give me a ring on 07532105871 or private message me. . cheers

hi, i have been attempting to find chipper blades for a 518 jensen 6", and not having much luck. saturn knives have a back log, and i unfortunately do not have a spare set to use after a blade breaking - this has put me on hold untill possibly after xmas, although cleaning the hydraulic oil of the customers drive shall no doubt keep me busy. if anyone has a blade or 2 that is for sale i would be more than greatfull if you could contact me, also contacts of other blade manufacturers would be well appreciated. thanks, tim

I'm getting an Iveco Daily 35c14 (yeee haaaa) which can tow up to 3 tons, so I'm thinking why not put some of my kit on to the chipper... then I see this.... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owJfr-fAODw]YouTube - DIY vs Professional tree care[/ame] Check it out at about 0.50 seconds. Is that a grinder in the chipper I see? Whats the legality on this. Is it a hi-viz attached to the unit if it sticks out too much jobbie. How about some other ideas on attaching saws and kit to the chipper. Kind of helps with the overloading of the truck I reckon.

Thought I might utilise Arbtalk and see if I can't tap into the wealth of knowledge and experience it seems to support. I own a fledgling Tree Surgery company on the south coast and have had it with cutting down brash on the back of my truck. I need to invest in a chipper but have only got a budget of about £4k max. Now I'm aware thats not alot but does anyone know of any machines that are in good working order that might fit the bill. Ideally a 6incher that is fairly easy to move about and isn't too heavy. something like an old entech would be ideal. Any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully recieved.

Have recently bought a second hand Kwikchip 225 on a turntable as a spare machine. First day I used it nothing but problems! Initial problem resolved but now the feedrollers won't work at all. Have took covers off and nothing is jammed at all, oil level is good, and only problem I can see is that the hydraulic oil filter has a dent in it and don't know if this would stop it from working. Hydraulic belt seems tensioned too. Anyone have any clues on this machine and what may cause it at all? Any advice would be greatfully appreciated.

I’m looking to fill odds days/weeks preferably with Van and Chipper, willing to travel up to an hour away from Eccles. I’ve taken my foot off the ball due to my Dad being seriously ill for several weeks (sadly he passed away before Christmas) I have all the relevant tickets, also use of a climber who’s pretty decent, quick and comfortable with big take downs. I have a young family support and need to get back into work ASAP Rates negotiable If interested contact me on 07577592430 I’d appreciated it if someone can post this on Facebook for me (I don’t do Facebook) Regards Mark

Hi guys, I need your expert opinions and any Experianaces using them as I am after a small wood chipper. I need something that would take up to a 5 inch diameter comfortably and can be lifted into a van by two persons. i don’t really want to spend thousands as I only climb twice a week. On the huge jobs I have sub contractors that help out and use their Jensen chippers. any advice would be much appreiciated thanks Craig

Hi, Firstly, I'm not a professional gardner/tree surgeon/landscaper. Just a hobbyist with a rather large garden. Which brings me onto a problem I have: my Bosch electric chipper/shredder just isn't up to the job. I recently had a tree surgeon over and he let me use his professional one. What my crappy electric one would take a day processing was done in minutes. Obviously I don't have the budget for a top of the range machine, but would like to invest in a decent petrol chipper/shredder. My requirements are: 1. Must be able to both chip and shred 2. Able to take large branches (up to about 80mm) 3. Be able to process green waste 4. Not get jammed 5. Ideally be able to pull through branches 6. Electric start if possible I can stretch to a budget of about 1k max (ideally less). The Forest master and the titan pro seem to get good reviews. Is there any other recommendations? The other brands I've looked at (e.g. Hyundai) seem to get mixed reviews. Thanks.

Hi guys, I need to change the belts on a Jensen A328 PTO chipper, sounds easy I know, but how on earth do you get the pto shaft off the chipper in order for me to then remove the triangle plate which exposes the belts? Admittedly this is my first pto machine so I am a novice but I'm not daft and nor are my guys, we spent a morning feeling for release pins, clips, buttons, screws, a hidden chipper fairy who needed to be bribed! No luck. Help us out if you can.... Tristan.

First post so I hope that I have done it in the right section... I run a small sole trader garden maintenance business that is still in it's start-up period. When ever I have done bush clearance, tree pruning, small tree removal, hedge cutting and removal I have always just dragged the waste to my trailer and taken it to the local tip to dispose of the waste using my trade waste licence. But from now on things have changed at the local tip making it very hard to get rid of any volume of waste. I also get the impression that trade waste will soon be refused. I have not budgeted for this change and it looks like I will need to get my first chipper... I am looking to get a 4" / 100mm chipper that I can get in to residential properties and transport around fairly easily. I would therefore be grateful for some advice on what to go for. I don't want anything that is cheap and nasty One option I have been looking at is the Greenmech CS100 but I had not budgeted for this situation. So is it worth breaking the bank for one or is there equally as good cheaper options with a good engine? Also is there any creative advice on off loading the wood chippings with out paying to dispose of them at the local tip? (I should point out that I operate from a residential location so I can't store them to sell on to customers further down the road). All advice is welcome

Can I change anything to my chipper to get less long chip bits as shown in photo? I prefer tiny cubes all over.. Or is it just the material that goes in being responsible?

Does anyone have any experience with Ohashi chippers? Specifically the ES130... The only info I can find is the manufacturers website and some YouTube footage...
