  1. Glad to here you got the job done👍And your right the forum is a good idea there’s a lot of ladies and gents on here what are full of useful information it helps a lot 👍
  2. I shouldn’t think so if you cut the branch off whats caught up while you put your pull rope up in the tree to get it out of the way make sure your pull rope is at a good height so you can get the right angle 📐 on the rope and then get your self comfortable to put your face cut in to get the right direction and then get comfortable to make your back cut and just tap a felling wedge into the back to stop it leaning back. Get a couple of friend to just put a lean on the rope you should be fine. 👍
  3. Brilliant piece of art very smart. 🙌
  4. Cut the piece up what’s split off Put a ladder up 🪜 tie a pull rope on it get a friend to give you a weight. you could probably cut some of the weight off the back of it to. and then fell it on top of the piece what broke off. That would be my approach. Cheers 🍻 👍
  5. I Haven’t got any experience with working abroad but I bet it’s a one in a life time experience. Seem to see a lot more bigger trees than what us guys/ladies are used to in the uk. There proper trees 🌲 could always try it if you don’t like it can always come back to 🇬🇧 👍
  6. Agree with the other gents rowan/mountain ash. 👍
  7. Lol never rate me father in law he’s colour blind. And one of our groundsman. And as for tomato picking younger generations would tell you to stick I think it’s getting harder to find lads/ladies what want to graft. Hard to come by.
  8. Idd love to work on piece work lol. I can remember leaving school at 16 and going to a interview at a brick yard and the guy saying we pay by piece work being young and daft I thought **************** that not doing that. Now I think to my self I’d of been good at it and made some money 💰 my old man has always cracked the whip lol he was arborist. But me grandad a worked in pit at 13 14 with his dad and all uncles and brothers. he cracked whip same lol got paid by metre what they got off face. Good pedigree stock lmao 😂
  9. Fair doos stubby not blowing my trumpet 🎺 but I wouldn’t make any money. How I’ve been brought up was a whip and a kick up the ass lol 😂 so I can’t help my self and get stuck in I’m a job and knock type of guy 😂 when I’m running job my old man would say come on will do another 😂
  10. I think you would be better working for a day rate not sure 🤔 how you would make any money 💰 working hourly if you are good at what you do and quick not sure how it would work. And I’m not being disrespectful not sure how it would work. IMO 👍
  11. I totally agree I think you would struggle to find a mature popular with out it being like a polo mint in middle.
  12. Idd take some pictures. Ring council tell the tree officer it’s fallen over you have taken pictures. Get it cut up and made safe. You can’t argue with those photos email them pictures. You can see it’s legit. If there anything like our council you could be waiting months bowt time they had got in touch will of rotted away. 👍
  13. I’m guessing it’s to keep them fresh up until they get tapped on the head and gutted ready for the pan 👍
  14. Never tried makerel never really tried any fish 🐟 tried trout and salmon but didn’t like that can’t stand the smell of it cooking. The wife on the other hand she would eat anything from the sea lol 🤮
  15. That’s something I have never really done I went with the wife to portugal and we went out on a boat think we caught 4 small makrell the sea 🌊 was terrible there was another 4 Scottish chaps they was green lol 😂 they never picked a rod up. Lol having said that I was getting that way in the end I couldn’t wait to get off I’ll never forget the faces on those other chaps though. 🤢
  16. I agree I think Stihl and husqvarna have lost there way to. All about making to much profit and not getting the same quality build what will last I don’t think you get your moneys worth any more I feel as tho your holding a toy. But that’s my opinion. there just not the same anymore a lot of the technology is great but they just don’t last. I think the old saws what stihl and husqvarna made was built to last they was quality I love the second series husqvarnas but everyone has a preference and opinion ppl will say there to heavy but I get on with them I use them for climbing blocking big wood down. I’m 5ft 4 short arse but can get the job done with them lmao 🤣. But as for the saws you have mentioned I have never used them so I couldn’t have a say on that. But there must be some other saw manufacturers out there now what should stand toe to toe with the big boys but that’s me and my options. Cheers 👍
  17. I agree with everyone. if it’s worrying you and would like to put your mind at ease have the tree removed.👍
  18. It’s a good job you want stood under it mate 👍
  19. Never herd something so daft in my life there is always some body wanting screw you. Someone has always got to take a cut and have there fingers in pie 🥧. Someone says you have got to pay someone to protect you or your belongings from scrotes world 🌎 has gone mad 😡 👍
