  1. I bet he has stubby now days that’s all police 👮‍♂️ do hand crime numbers out. Never see a deal of policing lol they only want to do prosecutions when you have done detective 🕵️ work your self 😂
  2. That’s first thing I would of done is apologise. They probably still think there above law they will probably get a smack on wrist I wonder if they will have to give a £100 donation? To RSPB?
  3. Aup fellow any news regarding the lady and gent who was on your land up to no good. Ok 👍
  4. Totally agree With that mate that was exactly my thoughts to. Could they just use a drone to monitor them?
  5. Could they have thrown a line into a lower branch and then ascended the tree a branch at a time? Like a tree surgeon/arborist would of been taught or put a line in a separate tree and swung into the other tree? Not sure it’s still right to spur the tree even tho it’s in a wood what if it had been a really old 🌲 in my opinion cheers 👍
  6. You would of thought the lady and gent climbing your trees would of had a bit of thought for your trees with them being wildlife enthusiast but Obviously not in my opinion amateur with no respect ✊ for anything or anyone. Me me’s that’s all they are they have made me mad 😡 and there not my trees 🌲 but if it was the other way round they would be screaming 😱 blue murder. If I have got the saying correct. 😂 👍
  7. If the tree was being removed we would normally access the trees with spurs especially with it being a straight growing tree like a pine. Clip in with a lanyard and then tie in with a rope when we get to a high point. Not sure why they didn’t use a ladder or a throw line to get a rope in to the tree. They obviously didn’t care about the health of your trees because if they did they would of gained access in another way last thing a arborist or some one with a clue would want to do is harm a tree what’s not being removed. 👍
  8. Well you have definitely got them bang to rights your cameras worked a treat proper detective 🕵️‍ Top man I take my hat off to you. It’s very interesting that the people who think are doing good aren’t always working in the law and don’t abide by the rules. Do you think 🤔 they have had there own camera 🎥 equipment up monitoring? Very interesting 🤔 keep us in the loop. Cheers 👍
  9. these folks seem to have there own laws and can do what ever they please. If you had gone round disturbing the nests there would be hell on. I no they probably think there doing a good thing with what they are doing but sometimes I think some things have to be just left alone. It seems as though they are doing as much damage as a crook IMO 🤔
  10. You get them going up the tree? they take the piss make you laugh them walking we’re ever they like this so called right to Rome bollaks. There not going for a walk we all that gear.
  11. It’s been going about a while hasn’t it this dna testing? Still be a lot getting away with it you only have to look at the drug dealers and things what get away with it. I should imagine they take them and cross breed them or pair them to legit birds same as the eggs how could you tell from a egg can you still check 🧬
  12. Barb wire round trunk maybe seen that done in our local woods to protect tawny owl nest boxes. They was in yew trees. I suppose if you still wanted to get up you would spur up and cut the wire off though or climb across from another tree or they probably would use ladders. If they have got the cheek to be there with out permission nothing would surprise me.
  13. I preferred axe 🪓 men like watching bukin billy ray like that swamp loggers to watching that Shelby. Been watching big timber got to about episode 5 but it’s a bit slow old fellow sounds like my old man never stops moaning 😂 👍
  14. I agree with your statements that is logical sense. The problem is you don’t always here the truth so you can’t just come out and point a finger. It’s a touchy subject but a reasonable opinion. Some times you have to stand back and have a think before you go in like a bull in a China shop that’s the trouble with society these days. Open space man is thinking 🤔 smartly.
  15. Your right I’m going to mate I can’t see you but can tell you see one way and that’s it we couldn’t have a discussion that’s the trouble with pro shooters and not. they can’t actually sit down and talk. And if they could all these folks for wildlife and conservation if they could wow what could happen. And you have a right to your opinion I respect that. But don’t always think things are as they seem cos there not. And there is a lot of un educated folk around.
  16. Totally agree with that but not everyone is bad are they
  17. Your jumping the gun do you know the facts? Was you there? Straight away your saying it’s got to be a keeperd estate I don’t get that. because there is a shoot they want to kill birds of prey you just can’t say that. I might be wrong might of been a bad apple 🍏 but you can’t go pointing thingers That’s what am getting at why couldn’t it of been a farm labourer who removed the tree because there was a reason for removing it ie dead or disesed but unfortunately that bird was nesting in that tree and the guy felled It not everyone nose the laws to things plus not everyone nose what a goss hawk is now days a lot of ppl don’t no anything to do with the country side kids now days don’t even no where there food comes from. And as for me I’m a country man through and through and I wouldn’t like to see any wildlife go extinct and I love my birds of prey especially barn owls all am saying just think 🤔 sometimes not everyone is bad news Cheers 🍻 👍
  18. Totally agree am not going to start because I would go on forever. I understand there is a few bad apples in the shooting and hunting community but isn’t there bad apples in all walks of life ie peedoes murderers government has been corrupt I could go on. And as for rspb they aren’t saints iva they will have done things what aren’t right but you don’t here about that it doesn’t get spoken about. A lot of people don’t no all the facts and they say things what they don’t no what there on about but everyone is entitled to a opinion. I had a couple of guys come on our shoot never been on a shoot in there life’s been out and bought dogs as a pet didn’t realise what they had bought FTC Labradors any way been taking them gun dog training still didn’t realise what they had. Trainer said why don’t you take them to a shoot picking up no I can’t do that don’t agree with it but they came tried it never looked back been coming last 2 years. I said what did you think did you enjoy it answer was yes they said all bad stories you here it’s barbaric etc etc they said it’s nothing like that is it. I said I wish a few more would come see what us country men/ladies are about we’re not evil. Rant over 😂 👍
  19. Shooting estates always get blamed always do. Always get bad press. Shooting community always gets the blame.
  20. Glad to here you got the job done👍And your right the forum is a good idea there’s a lot of ladies and gents on here what are full of useful information it helps a lot 👍
  21. I shouldn’t think so if you cut the branch off whats caught up while you put your pull rope up in the tree to get it out of the way make sure your pull rope is at a good height so you can get the right angle 📐 on the rope and then get your self comfortable to put your face cut in to get the right direction and then get comfortable to make your back cut and just tap a felling wedge into the back to stop it leaning back. Get a couple of friend to just put a lean on the rope you should be fine. 👍
  22. Brilliant piece of art very smart. 🙌
  23. Cut the piece up what’s split off Put a ladder up 🪜 tie a pull rope on it get a friend to give you a weight. you could probably cut some of the weight off the back of it to. and then fell it on top of the piece what broke off. That would be my approach. Cheers 🍻 👍
  24. I Haven’t got any experience with working abroad but I bet it’s a one in a life time experience. Seem to see a lot more bigger trees than what us guys/ladies are used to in the uk. There proper trees 🌲 could always try it if you don’t like it can always come back to 🇬🇧 👍
