  1. ScotlandsTrees

    Climber in Scotland

I have all my climbing, rigging & MEWP tickets and all my kit is LOLER. I come with my own saws and fuel. I'm reliable, always on time, I work safe, fast & hard and I work well in a team and good with customers. I’ve worked in most aspects of tree work: from domestic & commercial tree surgery to some forestry work; osprey conservation work; graveyard removals with tricky drop zones; working away doing storm damage work; large site clearance work; MEWP work; following a harvester & felling in woodlands; assisting with cobra bracing on a split leader tree; private estate work on veteran trees. Please let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know about me.
  2. I’ve heard Northumberland’s got years worth of cutting to do.
  3. I’m looking to find a good company to climb or groundie for. I’m reliable and a safe and hard worker. I’m based in Stirling and have the following tickets: first aid, chipper, small trees, aerial rescue and chainsaw with a rope and harness. And booked in to do my rigging course next month. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be much appreciated. Thanks, John-Paul FullSizeRender.MOV
  4. Are stihl bringing out a 50cc version of the 500i?
  5. I’m looking to find a couple of good companies I can subbie for. Climbing or groundwork. I’m based in Stirling and have the following tickets: first aid, chipper, small trees, aerial rescue and chainsaw with a rope and harness. I’m a very hard grafter, and have rigged from the ground, done a few prune and reduction climbs, a pollard, and a dismantle shift cutting from a MEWP. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be much appreciated. Cheers, John-Paul
  6. Thanks for the pointers. Applied for working holiday visas but everything’s still on hold at the moment. Think I’ll google tree companies in different areas and send them an email. Switzerland and Ireland also added to the list.
  7. Thinking about doing tree work abroad. Not sure how easy it’ll be with everything that’s going on at the moment, but looking for advice where to go, and how to go about getting work whilst still in the UK. Ideally somewhere I can mtb, snowboard and hike in my free time. NZ, BC Canada, Norway, Tasmania, Madeira…if there’s even work there. Any advice would be much appreciated.
