  1. Good that she's getting some benefit from the Yumove. Had Santi on the standard ones initially for a year or so but found the 'senior' version last year and they make much more difference. He has Metacam/Loxicom when required too. We did around 5 miles today in the hills and he never stopped, long may it last. Rampoozeling, not heard that before but what an excellent word!
  2. He's doing well David, gets some medication for the old joints and doesn't spend much time swimming now (couldn't keep him out the river until recently), but still enjoying big walks and very playful for his age
  3. He'll be 14 this month too! Hope Betty still improving
  4. Had a walk at a Tilhill site Santi was off following his nose for a while. He has a helpful habit whenever he doesn't know where I am, of howling like a Wolf until he can hear me call back. Can be very eerie, the call of the wild.
  5. If it helps I don't mind popping over to help with the chinook, no ground impact
  6. Is it worth grumbling to your MP about the Council acting illegally
  7. Had it all today. Sun, rain, hail and briefly some snow. Around 6C but with the wind it's feeling much colder.
  8. Lovely dog, have you found the Arbdogs Pics thread? Has anyone been involved in a woodpecker ring? My Mum showed me you can use a stone in each hand to tap a tree and imitate them, when there's several around pecking in sequence to establish territory. She also did similar with owls hooting but I've never managed that.
  9. Please do, have been enjoying your 'rambling'!
  10. I have access to well rotted manure and woodchip that's a few years old so I'll get that done tomorrow. Will let you know how the tree gets on, thanks everyone.
  11. Thanks, credit must go to the arbtalk advisor's for the clear instructions! Khriss, the wire pulled underneath to separate it worked so well and was met with applause from the onlookers 👍
  12. Just an update on the Rowan, it is now in its new spot and the move seemed to go well. Followed the advice given here as much as possible, and with the assistance of 2 excellent machine drivers who couldn't have been more helpful, things went smoothly. Dug out trench around drip line with digger, then dug/pruned by hand to leave this... Wrapped in terram with strops under root ball to lift... And gently placed here, digger never touched the tree directly. I will stake it for support and water regularly. Fingers crossed.
  13. Yes, I pull the fuel cap release quite often when changing gear in an L200 since wearing airstream, never happened before with haix or treehog
  14. It's a spring tine harrow for scarifying, can also fit a lute on the carriage for levelling ground. Took 6hrs to do the outdoor riding school and fields for grazing. They have quite a bit of land, river etc, beautiful place
  15. Had a little helper the other day. Working where Millie lives, she's always keen to get involved
  16. Lovely calm day yesterday in the Borders, saw the sunset from a wind farm.
  17. @Witterings will like to see this
  18. Yes he did Stubby, not surprising given the previous few weeks he's had. Hopefully given a couple of days at home with Liz he'll be out on the estate getting some fresh air and planning the birthday party!
  19. The Duke has returned home from hospital today, said he's looking forward to his upcoming 100th birthday, good luck to him.
  20. It's her only chance of an invite back to Buckingham Palace
  21. Have seen the smoke system measures that JaySmith mentioned and it did look effective. Jeweller stood outside his shop in high Street in clouds of thick white smoke, I thought it was being fumigated but he'd had a fault on security system. He said it'd be hours before he could go back in. Police had to close the street for a bit as traffic couldn't even drive past.
  22. My money would be on 'it was his mental health' rather than '2 slips in the shower'!
  23. Not convinced it's to do with the colour of his skin really. The news needs an audience and I imagine few viewers want them to 'support' the Cop who abducted and murdered someone. I've not heard mention of any actual allegations that the suspect was assaulted in custody. It might be suggested that the injuries were self-inflicted
  24. A single rod passes through the bollard with the other two butted against the centre and welded. Sorry but I can't get a very good photo.
