  1. Morning all, a happy Friday indeed. Weather looks miserable but no work today, physio first thing for me, followed by the cafe for a full breakfast. Happy days. Have a good one folks.
  2. What is it he says? Hands of c.... on with socks. Clearly he's not finished the first part yet!
  3. The daughter said "he told her when the puppies start fighting stop them with that brush". FFS, made me wonder if he was trying to get the woman attacked. The concept that an incomer/unknown entity to that household or pack was advised to use a brush to chastise puppies in front of the parents is madness. I suspect an awful lot of dogs would take exception to that.
  4. Sorry Ted, I just noticed I'd reacted with confusion to this morning's post, teach me to get the old peepers adjusted before signing in!
  5. Almost a game of two halves Les! We were lucky I think by the end, and your lads didn't half show they wanted it, was a good game to watch mate
  6. Morning Will, really sorry to hear that.
  7. Our wee Poppes is still buggering on, gives me a boost when she's keen for the evening walk. We went round sir Walter Scott's woods tonight without any plodding, her only concern was if I'd remember the treats are kept in the glove box
  8. Morning all. Thank goodness it's Friday, weekend upon us and the six nations kick off! Ready for tomorrow Les? You Welsh lads will be our first victory of the tournament! Have a good day folks.
  9. You calling Silver a duck billed platypus?
  10. Morning. All is calm this morning, was rough yesterday but the wind and rain have passed. Dismantle roadside today so be a busy day. Have a good one folks.
  11. Morning all. It's meant to be a Sycamore dismantle today but the forecast is 60mph wind and heavy rain so don't know if that'll happen! Have a good day folks.
  12. Had great weather today out splitting and processing on contract. Split with wee valtra, logged with big valtra, having the two cranes came in very handy for covering an area without moving the set up along.
  13. Morning all. Rain seems to have stopped thankfully, contract processing today. Have a good day folks.
  14. You'll be fine Steve, tucked up safe and sound in the secret bunker commanding all arbtalk battalion operations
  15. Is it done with a core drill then a blank put in each end?
  16. Wouldn't dream of it sir, we are fellow veterans.
  17. They said on the news some General thought we should have military training as standard in the population ready for a call up scenario, then they asked people on the streets of somewhere what they thought. A youth with floppy hair and strange fitting trousers said he thought it'd be fine as he'd played plenty of Call of Duty, even listed off all the weapons he had experience using. Anybody else? I remember how to use the weapon systems on a gunship. X and L1 is lots of little bullets, R2 is big mortar type things that kaboom russian tank. I've even completed a SF mission alone in Pripyat, Chernobyl. We'll be ready.
  18. Threw a track on the chipper today. Back of beyond without a tractor or crane to help and one bottle jack that didn't quite fit anywhere helpful. Found a way.
  19. It's the opportunity that doesn't arise! These days I get my kicks from a slow, deep bore cut.
  20. Good luck to him Les. I can almost remember what it's like but for me, all hope is lost!
  21. Morning all. Connie bashing resumes today now the storm work is done. For those about to bash connies, may the lord make us truly thankful! Have a good day folks.
  22. Morning all. Busy one here yesterday with call outs to schools and the agricultural college. More today, starting with MEWP job which should be interesting. Have a good day.
  23. Kindling shed v Jocelyn, poor shed came off worse.
  24. If you haven't already, check on here... https://arbtalk.co.uk/find-a-freelancer/
  25. Morning all. Rain seems to have passed but still strong wind. Heading out for a couple of jobs that arose in the night. Have a good one folks.
