  1. Good assortment of wildflowers out in the woods this year. Seen a few today.
  2. The wife calls chainsaws seasaws. I keep telling her its a chainsaw, but she prefers seasaws. No pun intended.
  3. Always a pleasure to see the coast redwoods. Thank you for your great photos of them. Wonderful.
  4. Cherry blossom and lots of it. Two different species there. Anyone know what they are? This could be the start of the cherry quiz.
  5. Very nice!
  6. Blackbird I reckon. Song thrush are brighter blue me thinks.
  7. potentially willow.
  8. How does poplar do on the mill? What do you use the pop for? Is that a branded mill? Can’t tell what your using [emoji106]
  9. Great shots and lovely blue sky. [emoji106]
  10. Now we're talking. That's a good bit of direction. Cheers Khriss.
  11. That's a good job if you got that lot sold. I suppose I don't have to worry about storing as we have space to store and the trees are all from the site I work on so don't have to get logs in, just mill up what comes down. Though If I could get my hands on some nice cherry and some walnut I would be fine with that.
  12. Very nice colouring on that.
  13. Do tell Mr Les. Poor quality? [emoji106]
  14. Ok but the boards are quite a lot larger and in terms of quality, what are you referring to? I’m only asking, not challenging. [emoji106]
  15. I prefer The 250. Sounds much better
  16. What would you sell a slab of this oak for, 10’ long x 40-44” wide by 3’ thick, green.
  17. Depending on budget, noise of machine, etc... I’ve used the 52cm plastic deck EGO battery mower since 2019 on our lawns, it’s a mulcher and collector and does both very well. It’s very light, self propelled and with the high lift blade, picks up wet grass very well into the bag. The battery on one charge does about 1000sqm. I use it on our 59 acre site for all the smaller lawns and it has worked great. No rusty deck and very easy to move about. The collection bag is also pretty big so that’s a bonus. I prefer it to any other mowers we use or have used in the past.
  18. What size is your lawn? What mower are you using at the minute?
  19. Found him laying on some plastic. Don’t see many, but like the colour. Very cute little one.
  20. Carried on with the large oak slabs
  21. I do like a good yew hedge. Maybe we need a new thread on here, "show us your yew hedge"...... Probably some corkers out there.
  22. That could not have been cheap, looks good though!
  23. Interesting. Walnut can come in different colours. I don't think there is much difference between English walnut and black walnut timber, although black is more abundant and I think has slightly better properties for making things with it. I haven't had the luck of using or milling any walnut as yet. But there is lots of reading online one can do. 😃
  24. Looks good. If it starts, 50cc saw for that price. I would buy it.
