  1. Yep never seen one until today. [emoji106]
  2. Elm is on another level, beautiful [emoji106]
  3. Yes sure thinned pva. I did them 3 and 4” thick with the hope of them being a bit more solid when dried. I guess the slower you can dry them, the better I would imagine.
  4. Ok mate. What do you reckon, slap a load of pva on them?
  5. Milled up some beech rounds on an old stump. Rather nice colours.
  6. Well try the new joiner. Unless the chain you are using is cheap metal or getting over heated, then it shouldn't keep breaking. I have an aux oiler. But it generally stays in the shed, don't need it. Doesn't seem to make much of a difference on the 881.
  7. Well the pieces you are showing are quite a lot shorter looking. You can normally work out the board foot amount and calculate it. Lots of board foot calculators online. But I generally say something about 10' long by a foot wide would sell for about £100. If it is not dried it can't be used for much until it is dried. Beech won't last outside, it goes black if it gets and stays wet. There are a lot of other guys on here who have sold a lot more than me and have a better pricing idea.
  8. Yes £300 each, dried for 2 years. 14 foot long and about 2 and a bit foot wide and 2.5" thick.
  9. Haven't had a chain break from milling. Has the chain broken more than once in the same place or difference places? Try a new joiner. Also how is your oiler doing during milling? Is the chain overheating at all?
  10. Definitely less vibration now. Did some 4” softwood slabs today.
  11. I've recently sold 14' boards for £325 or slightly shorter for £300 with some nice spalting, splits and rot holes.
  12. Pimped up my eco mill a bit with a new handle and rubber grips on the cross handle. Hope to try it out tomoz.
  13. Looks like redwood to me
  14. That’s true but I’m sure they will be great for floorboards. Can’t see them getting too wet in a bedroom. Unless you’ve got a water bed.
  15. Very nice. I've got a load of alder, well probably 30 sticks that could do well at making floor boards or cladding, when I ever get a bandsaw. Those boards look real good though.
  16. Amazing. Lovely birds.
  17. Little fella doing good after some good food and rest.
  18. Did you get to see the atlas cedars?
  19. Maybe a good idea. Will see if a bit of water takes his/her fancy. Can't tell if its male or female. I know males have a grey head when older....
  20. Hit 29 and maybe 30 here (East Grinstead)
  21. I remember being in Avignon about 2003 I think it was. There was a heatwave, we were in the middle of 44c. That was too hot. I think it was in the new at 55c in Portugal that year.
