  1. RobD does one (Chainsawbarsdirect) of the 12v Granberg grinders (as per link below) visit the site and there is a video to watch too. Was recommended by someone recently, cant remember who [emoji848]??‍♂️(even though i commented on it!) i’m going to order one in the very near future.
  2. No advice, just an onlooker! But thats a proper nice large piece that, love the colour and grain [emoji108]
  3. Get back in your fancy potting shed you! [emoji6]
  4. The frequent mentions of “Mark 2” is starting to scare the shit out of me! [emoji33]
  5. Just read ingredients on back of tin, its only so you dont use anything that will degrade your rubber before its time, anything silicone based is best. [emoji106]
  6. Remove it fully again with air pipe disconnected, spray some silicone spray (lubricant non harmful to rubber) around the bags plastic base and shove back in to as it was when you bought it. Pain in the ass but sometimes only way to do it. The key to it is having the air pipe disconnected so your not fighting against the residual pressure in the system.
  7. Similar age, i bet £6k - £10k depending on achievable weight/lift of hiab. Tidy MAN on flea bay at min for £8.5k +vat
  8. I know nowt about processors but presumably you’ll resharpen chains etc as you would with a chainsaw. The wear on the sprocket is not central compared with the new one (meaning early stages of wear as opposed to the later where you have seen the chain ride sideways) You got any broken/fractured links on your chain? This along with tension and pulling through the wood could cause the chain to deviate off centre.
  9. You fit a new chain recently?
  10. You’ve an honest reputable reputation past on by others Yolky! Social media shite recommendations and the like i.e trust a trader are bollocks, and often just give the right for them to charge the earth! I’d pick you over a trust trade any day cocker [emoji106] but i’m a bit old fashioned! [emoji6]My dad wanted a boiler fitting, he did the trust trader route..... as it happened he picked an ex school colleague of mine. I thought fair enough on this occasion cos i knew him!..... worst decision he made, and was meant to be a mate! Shite job and never gave him a cert! I ended up in bother cos i ended up knocking on his head! Stick to who ya really know i say, and if it means paying a little more to get them to travel or whatever, then its worth it!
  11. Speak to Rough Hewn, hes a milling man and a Stihl lover, he’ll advise you well.
  12. Things deteriorate with age, fuel goes stale etc, clean the carb, fit a new kit, replace the fuel line and filter, she’ll be reight [emoji106]
  13. Mentor are nationwide, couldnt tell ya prices though as work organises all that.
  14. https://www.highspeedtraining.co.uk/health-and-safety/loler-course.aspx
  15. Think you can do it online now for yourself?! We use Mentor at work for majority of our courses.
  16. Let him have a stab at it, if he takes to it then happy days, if hes not keen then your back at square one. Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say. I think any young kid these days showing an interest in getting off their arse and having a go at something should be encouraged and rewarded, theres not many that are prepared to put their phones down or leave the xbox, and parents dont tend to encourage them to now either.
  17. Scrapped all bits we were doing this last two years, extension and garage have swallowed up all the room and time. We only grew spuds in tubs, tomatoes in small thin greenhouse at rear but thats had to go for my man cave. Few mixed herbs, rhubarb in tubs. In time i’d like to just get hold of a small patch of grass, big enough for me to build a shed/shelter to do some small milling jobs, build some raised beds and potter about really [emoji108] [emoji23][emoji23] can live in hope i suppose ?
  18. You lot got too much time on your hands! [emoji39] More pics required regards progress tho [emoji106]
  19. Think its time to get your hands dirty for an hour i’m afraid! And seems the fairest way about it.
  20. Tidy, presume your using the diamond stones as opposed to ordinary stone bits?
  21. Thanks, found it in Rob’s website, has a neat little vid to watch too [emoji106] how long would you say the stones last on average? My dad bought me a cheapy grinder from local Wednesday night auction mart, its a bench clamped step up, but it has too much play in all its joints due to it being made from plastic, the grinds arent consistent unfortunately.
  22. Hey Fonzy, you got any pics of your sharpener? I have the stihl easy files at min for when out and about.
  23. Looks a nice clean saw. Enjoy [emoji106]
