  3. Sorry dunno bout that,but when i was a kid my dad used to get us to bark 12ft alder poles and he used to dry and halve em for fencing rails,they last a good few yrs aswell

  11. I hear what your saying,but you dont have to have all that kit to do firewood,i did it years ago with a db990 and a small splitter on it ,made a living for 2yrs like that,kept the wood under tin sheeting so air could get in(no ibcs),just saying?
  12. Yep, couple lads round here get all there firewood this way,and seem to do ok, always selling logs,seems to work for them and the lamd owners,where abouts are you?
