  1. Stiga bearings £19+. Same bearing from my bearing supplier £2-15.
  2. It was o.k. behind my little Ford 39/10 a few years back.
  3. I have overhead power lines running through my woodland and my neighbours. Whoever is carrying out the tree clearance work notifies me well beforehand either in person or by a letter through the door with full contact details.
  4. A lot will depend on whether you are on shrinkable clay or not
  5. The next Manitou you saw must have been at your local garden centre. I sold them one in the nineteen seventies.
  6. I had to clear the lop and top with a Cat 951 where they had left high stumps ( A little higher than those) It nearly shook my fillings out.
  7. Is that single or double wire pipe? Sorry just checked on eBay, it is two wire. About half the price of my local guy.
  8. I did wonder if it was in H--- H--- Lane, but no not one of ours.
  9. I like the layout of the carrier rollers, taking the weight off the sprocket and idler. How many guys would it take to safely lift that panel in place?
  10. I'll wait and see if he coughs up the nuts to pay the repair bill.
  11. I think lead will feature in the squirrels ultimate demise.
  12. All the deadwood from my Oak field margins is cut and stacked as bug burrows, I call them cold bonfires as they eventually decay to nothing. This time of the year I am always taking toads, frogs and newts out of the chlorinated swimming pool water and transferring them to a small natural pond. As a sideways comment on nature the charming grey squirrels have just eaten through the leadwork on the chimneys of my sons house.
  13. Hi openspaceman, were you based near Woking in 86 as a good friend of mine used one in Mayford around that time.
  14. Easy, He shouldn't have been using the telehandler,he should have tied three ladders together (preferably metal as there are power lines nearby). Baling twine would do the job just fine.
  15. No, not me, It just reminded me of past situations that I have hacked my way out of. (Including selling a B100 Drott. to a guy who promised to bring me the balance owing on Monday).
  16. He seems a nice bloke, I would repair the saws, give them back to him and ask him to post you a cheque.
  17. A banksman with a yellow vest whilst you are crossing land accessible to the public would be a good idea.
  18. Try 30:1 as the more oil you put in the weaker the fuel air mix becomes. You might find that the pickup improves.
  19. How about a local model engineering society? It's just the sort of challenge they enjoy. As a machining job it is not that difficult.
  20. The type that mount on your excavator are all to easy to steal.
  21. Fids are used mainly for rope splicing, but are handy for teasing locked knots apart.
  22. It's called a Fid. Try a boat chandler.
  23. Looks great, I hope the sweat from your brow did not corrode your equipment. (Any of it).
  24. Can be a hose that has partially collapsed through a kink. Had the same sort of problem on my Kubota 2400. Not at 50kph though.
  25. A few words can paint a thousand pictures!
