  1. what??? are you soft?? hang your head in shame and go and see a conventional Dr, saddo?
  2. oh ye of little faith! Calendula 200CH would be fine for a severed femoral artery. Haironyourchest, you are not hard core!
  3. For the lay rescuer, remember: always apply targeted, direct external pressure as the first line of care for bleeding. Only when this fails should a tourniquet be applied. Loss of life due to bleeding outweighs loss of limb due to complications with tourniquet use.
  4. You bet. Thanks
  5. do HSE stipulate what you need? if not military field dressings are cheap and effective. I posted this last night but it disappeared alongside Haironyourchest's post giving some great suggestions and a homeopathic first aid kit as shown
  6. Do they exist for our uses? Are they worth it? I have found lumber wizard on google but it looks more for woodwork than chainsaw work. Going to be milling a large sycamore soon that I know for a fact has hidden metalwork
  7. They missed the travel homeopathic kit Hairy! I didn’t [emoji6] I would imagine a military field dressing for a fiver, a bandage and a few plasters would be cost effective
  8. Sorted thanks RH

  14. I’ve spent a couple of short periods of time north of arctic circle,-26 no sun. It’s not pitch black as the snow brightens a little. Made me realise that people just get on with it. I have enjoyed winters here more for that experience
  15. I disagree. that would let Ratman off the leash and God would have no alternative and do a soddum and Gommarah on us all
  16. exemption if coppice (ie. managed by cutting to promote multi-stemmed growth arising at or near ground level) or underwood, have a diameter of 15 centimetres or less.
  17. I’m no arb but do a lot of diy stuff including climbing. Do many arborists free climb??? I rock climbed when younger and know not to trust solid rock never mind lichens, ash, wet bark, rot, moss, bird shit etc etc
  18. Great read though
  19. The scientist in me would say show m the evidence
  20. What image? Is it the invisible woman in the nuddy?
  21. While I’m on the subject, I used to think the best incentive for me to lose weight would be if my darling wife left me and I was back on the market. Now it’s ....nah...wtf...i have the internet [emoji84]
  22. I rest my case mlud
  23. God aka Richard Dawkins, should give you the money and the wisdom you have when you are old, when you are in your twenties, so you can frigging well make most use of it
  24. Well I’m 53, 3 years til I retire and the only things that I am getting better at are drinking, eating, grunting when I move and growing my gut
