  1. Solid advice [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  2. That's a cross cut chain. Any ripping chain will cut faster. A 10-15 degree top plate is standard for most ripping chains. [emoji106]
  3. Nice yellow sticker [emoji106]
  4. If those big ash have brown heartwood, call me [emoji106]
  5. Personally I like stihl .404 full chisel ground to a 0 degree top plate. Hyper skip are good too for long bars in hard wood. I find that adjusting the depth gauge height to the species, width of cut and moisture content. The wider and drier, keep the depth gauges higher 0.5-0.6mm instead of 0.75mm. [emoji106]
  6. Scraped the car of ice, Cold but very bright and clear. [emoji106]
  7. The reason I say this, is because I tried something similar when I first started. Absolute nightmare. [emoji106]
  8. It's wind blown not windfall. The most dangerous trees there are. IF you've got your Forestry tractor and winch with trailer and crane paid off, And no other overheads at all. A large yard, processor and splitters, another forklift/tractor for moving the IBC's. Delivery vehicle. Volunteer staff. Etc etc etc. There's a massive difference between knocking out a few cube and a thousand cube. What kit will you use?
  9. No. Not unless it's 36" walnut. [emoji106]
  10. Bit of pippy poplar, cut with the logosol F2+ and the stihl ms661, came out nice [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  11. Artisan... In France.... Registered business/micro enterprise... Fully insured Two men and a loader... Chainsaws etc Social contributions... €600-€800 a day. And half of that will go to the government.
  12. Yeah, Rob D is the man. If anyone knows it'll be him. [emoji106]
  13. What species, size and quantity are you looking for?
  14. I'm hopefully getting one for milling. (From spuddog)[emoji12][emoji106]
  15. What kind of price do those sell for Les? (Not that I can afford one)
  16. I've got the logosol f2+ for square edge stuff. But I'm sure it'd be good for someone milling beams and planks [emoji106]
  17. Bit of crazy beech from spuddog[emoji106] [emoji106]
  18. That's nice mate [emoji106]
  19. A bargain for someone looking to get into milling. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  20. I've tried sunflower and veg oil neat and mixed 50/50 with bio oil and normal stuff. It's all fine up to about 16-20" bars. After that I get hot bars. Useless for milling with as it gets really hot and smokes. Not tried rapeseed oil. [emoji106]
