  1. As Wulbert points out, The laws around "bothies" are completely different in Scotland. In England however there are ways of living in the woods all year round. Legally. It's just the legislation is rather obscure and mainly forgotten. (Which helps keep the fairy light brigade part time). [emoji106]

As F2F says it's having many years experience with wood and grain, that allow you to "see" inside. Where to get the best cuts etc. Especially when you only cut really expensive character logs.
