  1. Heavy rain and high winds. Brilliant!!!! As I’m sitting at home waiting for a courier.[emoji16][emoji16][emoji16] Back in it tomorrow 🤣[emoji106]
  2. Sorry Mark. I’ll try harder…🤣🤣🤣[emoji106]
  3. Slave chocolate… Couldn’t make this shit up. 21st century.
  4. Remember folks!!! Slavery is ok as long as it’s not in your country!!!
  5. As far as our working day… No set times for anything. The lads take breaks and breathers at appropriate times for them. Sometimes every 30 minutes when moving huge slabs in 30 degree heat. Sometimes they take no breaks to get home sooner. Personally I encourage regular breathers, as physically tired staff cause accidents. [emoji106]
  6. Not correct. Under eu law, with manual labour there’s a clause saying every 45-60 minutes yiu are entitled to 5 minute break. Can’t really remember must of it, (it was 30 years ago I learnt this). There are also lots of other caveats concerning temperature and weather. Not even sure what’s happened to British labour laws now… brexit etc.
  7. Mainly unenforceable. [emoji106]

    Oh bugger

    I think it’s become a donor saw.
  9. With the demand for construction timber at the moment I doubt anyone is selling a decent bandsaw for a reasonable price. As for new, there are no cheap options of any quality. Trailered and with winch/log handling will also bump up the price by several £k at least.
  10. Yeah, sell it really quickly…🤣[emoji106] It’ll probably sell in the boule so should be ok with stickers and plenty of weight on it.
  11. Had an interesting log today. Ok it was an absolute 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Wych elm trunk, 2’+ dbh x 10’ Got 2/3 through the first cut then it started to lift, badly. Turned off and backed out. Chain, bar, mill, and ladder are fine….? Went from the other end to finish the board without issue. Happened 3 more times. In the same spot. The tension and compression inside were going mental. Had to finish the log milling up hill, as it cut fine that way. The grain inside may explain the t and c. [emoji106]

    Oh bugger

    It shouldn’t do that. Ever.
  13. I’m guessing it’s genetic/hereditary then? Or do you think it might be related to water uptake? [emoji106]
  14. I suspect it’s an age thing. But not certain at all. [emoji106]
  15. 🤣🤣🤣🤣[emoji106]
  16. Can see it working in a bank, But not in a rural setting. [emoji106]
  17. Dead trees don’t grow leaves. [emoji106]
