  1. Looks very interesting, What features? [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  2. Hi Mike, The problem you have is the same as every council in Britain. £19-20k a year is an unacceptably low wage for a qualified professional arborist. There’s a company offering £28k a year for school leavers to train as arborists. Best of luck [emoji106]
  3. Nice mill[emoji108][emoji108][emoji108]
  4. Softwood or hardwood? First thinning or final crop? Who’s your local dealer? [emoji106]
  5. Yeah, I’m not complaining, everyone’s happy. [emoji106]
  6. He got a 12 month extension on the planning permission, which he got today. But hey, I’ll be needing some more stock in a couple of weeks. Might even get the electrics on for a kiln and lights! [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

  8. I’ve heard up to 10% ether has an interesting effect…[emoji848][emoji106]
  9. I’m not plot spoiling… But there is a chainsaw in it. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  10. No. It’s over the barrel and smile… [emoji50]
  11. Might have found a yard… Getting confirmation tonight… [emoji848][emoji106]
  12. Cutting a few more walnut mantles today. With some fun book matching off cuts.[emoji106]
  13. I love sweet chestnut, But no it sadly wouldn’t stop a T72. 🤷🏽‍♂️
  14. Hi Mick, In answer to some of your questions. (All for cross cutting) Top plate angle 30 degrees. Don’t bother with the 10 degree camber. Side plate angle 65 degrees Look at your grinding disc profile carefully, it should be D shaped with one corner curved and one square. Use the curved edge towards the tooth. When grinding, do not attempt to take all the metal off in one grind, the heat will damage the temper. Try to get the wheel very close and just touch, backup 3mm then touch again…repeat…. Almost bouncing off the chain… What happens is the disc shoots cool air at the tooth between cuts. Hope this helps [emoji106]
  15. I’ve had a row of hazels on my allotment stripped bare by greys. I’d had my eye on them for a couple of weeks as they were still green. Then one day I looked and they were all gone. Little *****🤬🤬🤬
  16. A fair price. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  17. Looks like fun [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji106]
  18. Came out a while back, very cool bit of kit. Bit of a fire hazard perhaps?[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  19. I get a lot of this. This is my reply: I’ve given you the most competitive price I can already, it’s simply not worth doing the job for less. Usually get a few seconds silence as the cogs engage, followed by Oh well, erm ok then. Not guaranteed but may help. [emoji106]
  20. Ok, I’d grow several rows of hazel. Fast growing multi stem with very large growth below 1m to stop a vehicle slowly and a nice visual backdrop with harvest potential [emoji106]
  21. I agree. However there has been a campaign in France for over a decade now, to remove roadside trees. There have been instances of organised illegal felling on long stretches of road with high fatality rates. Google it. [emoji106]
