  3. I know a good crew in south London if you get desperate. Message me on here if you want their number. They are some of the hardest grafters I’ve encountered though. If he takes you for a trial, expect a 12–14hour gruelling day. [emoji106]
  4. South bank of the Thames about 20 years ago, there was a guy offering £10 to ride about 5-10 yards. £1 a go. As soon as you try to pedal or balance it all goes wrong… Only cost me about £5 before I gave up. Watched the guy do it 3 times in a row after to prove to the crowd it could be done. There was a queue… He must have made a fortune that day 🤣[emoji106]

  7. There is only one way to guard your kit. It’s you. Sleep next to it,(armed) or someone will nick it. I’ve seen thieves get through everything. Everything, dogs, locks, boxes, containers. You can only stop them by being there and forcing them away, bleeding. Forget the police. They are not interested. It’s on you alone. Harsh but true. [emoji106]
  8. Only got a handful of small logs. Wasn’t worth slabbing, I’m loving them[emoji106]

  13. Brighton is mainly English elm and some Wych elm. I looked into buying disease resistant elms recently. It’s only a golden? Elm that has some resistance. But not immunity. Yes, apparently the disease can spread through the root system. [emoji22]
  14. They’ve been pollarding some of the monsters near Preston park. [emoji22][emoji22][emoji22]
  15. If chainsaws were licensed very few people would get in to the trade. After several months of felling with a stihl 021, I bought a stihl ms440. 9 years later I got my tickets. [emoji106]
  16. It’s dead. Or it will be in the next 18 months. Once ded gets hold it’s game over. [emoji22][emoji22][emoji22]
