If you send it to spud, it'll run a 25" on .325 like a monster. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  5. Doh![emoji15] Forgot I work for the council now. That's why we can use the parks for "training" at work. Erm apologies Yeah find a quiet spot in the woods. [emoji106]
  6. The two on the right look good for milling, not sure about the left one. Might have rot. Wish I was closer, I'd have them off you. Good stuff. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  7. This may sound odd, but@wonky on here uses bee stings to sort his elbow out. [emoji51][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  8. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Do I really need to put the word "responsibly" after every suggestion? Yes. Get a mate on the ground. Have a chat with the park keepers, take em a pack of hobnobs. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

  11. As long as you're not damaging the trees, You ARE allowed to climb trees in public parks. We do it all the time. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  12. Neat tung oil takes a very long time to dry, mixing with a solvent means quicker dry time but more coats. I'm not a fan of carcinogenic chemicals So I thought I'd try ethanol (foodgrade). I'll stick some photos up tomorrow. [emoji106]
  13. Will be oiling my green cherry table this weekend, Tung oil and brandy. Mixed. [emoji106]
  14. So many variables. How fast is your cutter, What spec are you cutting, How quick is the forwarder driver, How much crap do you have to clear, What surprises might there be? [emoji106]
  15. One way to tell if it's Turkish hazel, which I suspect it is. It should have these on the ground under neath and on upper branches. I tell kids they're alien eggs from space. [emoji12][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  16. After living in Brighton for years, I forget how the rest of the country still live in the past. Anyone who gets weirded out should spend a week in kemptown Brighton. It's freaksville. And most are charming and friendly. It's the straights, drunk on a Friday night looking for street fights that unnerve me. [emoji23][emoji12][emoji106]
  17. Depends whether you're felling 2" saplings or 4 foot monsters. Are you snedding by hand leaving brash in place and removing the trunks by machine? Or have you just got a silky? [emoji848]
  18. It's like the advert for "budget shark cage" or "budget parachute". [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  19. No, and it's hopefully going soon. If I had the space I'd take the engine out for a later project as it's lovely runner. Can't say the same about the rest of the van.[emoji23] The next vehicle I get has to have one and the ability to pull and stop a trailer/caravan. Anyone selling a really cheap 4x4? [emoji106]
  20. I love trees! Will look up bioremediation properties later Gary. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  21. Be interesting to hear from other firms in the area to see how they've been effected.
  22. From personal experience fingers detach very easily. Skip all adornments. [emoji51]
  23. It's not April. BBC website this morning [emoji12][emoji106]
  24. It depends where you are in the uk and if you want a qualified groundie £120-150+ or an unskilled labourer £100+. A decent groundie will have their own ppe. [emoji106]
