  1. Only if there's no anchor for a winch. [emoji106]
  2. In brief: I lived in a plasterboard box, Went to work in a bigger box. Hated every day. Woke up dreading another day in the office. Lived amongst a million other boxes. Had to get out. Now everyday I wake up curious to what find out what I'm cutting today. Trees and nature are my office. I still live in a box, But one day I'll live in the woods.

  5. Shouldn't we be teaching AI ethics and morality? Empathy and love? Co-operation is the only way forward. Now, where's the tin foil. [emoji51]
  6. Get cs30,31,38 and 39. Get NEW ppe. That's your 2k spent. With that you could find work with a firm looking for a newbie. Having paid your own tickets means you are keen. Be prepared to drive long distances and get beasted regularly. It will take several years of learning within a decent outfit before you are competent. Lastly stihlmad had a very angry but completely valid point. It's not an easy ride. [emoji848][emoji57][emoji12][emoji106]
  7. The most productive land for food is allotments is it not? Multi layering of crops and micro management. Anyone else read "John Seymour"? [emoji848][emoji12]
  8. It's overall weight which is starting to get me. I used a stihl 440 for many years, but my go to saw is a 261 now. It's so much lighter, will pull 18" all day. But yeah, the 461 comes out if the wood needs it.
  9. Sodium and potassium Chlorate or nitrate will kill most things. Just keep it away from any sort of fire. It's explosive. [emoji51]
  10. Deathcap is another that springs to mind. I'd wash your hands after touching. [emoji51]
  11. Very valid points stihlmad and yourname. I think our definition of "safe" may differ. Whatever stubby says bacon is a crap weed killer. [emoji12]
  12. So has anyone got a video of a 462 vs a 461? [emoji848]
  13. Hmmm risk of cancer or an hours weeding? [emoji51]
  14. Glyphosate has just been recognised as carcinogenic. Big court case just concluded.
  15. Machinery is a game changer. Loaders, tractors, hi-abs,tracked chippers, winches on chippers. Especially as you get older. [emoji57][emoji106]
  16. [emoji106]
  17. You can have this bar and chain for a tenner and postage? Chains got half life left, bars good. I'll never need it again.
  18. Ported, jungle muffler, 100cc big bore 660 36" 3/8
  19. Stock 661 36" 3/8
  20. This is a .325 14" for a 009
  21. I'm no expert, but you get destroying angel and a few other deadly fungus that look like what you photographed. They grow on wood chip. [emoji51]
  22. Painfully slow?!!!! The only 660 that out cuts my stock 661 is a ported 100cc big bore. Got that on video too. I'll post it in a bit. My point is a longer bar is usually going to save time, and the extra few inches is negligible in terms of torque loss.
  23. Ok it's YouTube. How do I link?
