  1. Glad your ok! However that hat has shocked me given that your in the top 48% of people one would have thought you would have read a few thousand pages on the subject rolled hundreds of opinions into your own disregarded everything anyone else offered and opened it the smart way?! Turns out scissors where the right answer all along. PS I hope you see my attempt at humour and take this post how it’s meant.

    Favourite Saw

I have just brought an 020av back from the brink, cracking saw going to give it a proper run next week so I’ll report back on the thread I created for it. As for weight at first I thought it was heavy then when I was comparing it to the husky t540xp v2 it felt exactly the same in weight, I weighed them both on scales (big scales used for weighing humans) and they where the same. I was shocked, granted if I weighed them on more refined scales there may be a slight difference as what I used may of been a little crude for the task but on my scales and on feel if there is a difference it would only be hairs between them.
  5. I know what you mean but the world still needs good people, I just care now about things I can control or make a difference to be that fundraising when I do stupid events or like last night when passing 2 homeless chaps on the way home, knowing storm Brian was on route I went to the garage and bought them 2 coffees and a bag of food only a tenner to me to them ...... For the world to continue having/being good people need to do good.
  6. That looks like it will be amazing! Any idea how you are going to attach it?
  7. Do you have ant 372’s for sale?
  8. You where doing well and then we go back in reverse and generalise again thinking we know what people are thinking and what they want to do. You ever thought of putting yourself out there and becoming an MP? You seemingly know what we all want and what is best for us.
  9. You might make that argument and be naive enough to believe that however devolution of powers with ever increasing fees and payments would have continued. Would devolution of powers got far enough as to where we could no longer run our country? I’m glad we will never know. We went cap in hand for a better deal to stay as we were if you remember and what did the EU give Cameron to come back with? Nothing! Let’s not pretend things would have stayed the same.
  10. Exactly, no one knows what will happen! You can read as much as you like by who you like but that sentence just about sums it up, no one knows what will happen, you included.
  11. No I don’t believe you, your arrogance to generalise makes me chuckle the material you read will also generalise what it thinks people voted for and why. Ok you may dig deeper than most on repercussions of what will happen if ...... but that is also based on generalisations and the thoughts based on someone’s agenda, it is all opinion based. No one knows what will really happen if they did they would pick next weeks 6 numbers on the lotto.
  12. @eggsarascal did you manage to have a think on the water? Private or public which is/has provided a better service taking costings into account etc?
  13. The whole of this post falls down at “I think” you have no idea why people voted for what you just think you do with your wild generalisations based upon a bit of reading you have done in your spare time!

    365 vs 372

What are the best years to buy if original? @Sveriges why? Will the 572 be better?
  15. So how can you be the worlds leading brand if said companies manufacture their own blades the same as you do? If you where the worlds leading brand they would still use your blades over their own as yours would surely be better than theirs?! On your cost logic then surely it would be cheaper for said companies to manufacture their own engines would it not?
  16. If you are the leading brand (as you say) and your price is cheaper than everyone else’s due to in house manufacturing (as you say) why don’t Timberwolf, Jensen etc etc buy blades from yourselves and send the machines out from factory fitted with Rotatech Blades? After all timberwolf, Jensen etc etc don’t manufacture and supply their own engines they outsource and buy in the best to give there product the best chance of selling against other brands as well as reliability.

    365 vs 372

    Which one and why? thanks.
  18. I see what your saying but there was no damage. Thanks.
  19. Thanks Don.
  20. I’m all for tech Don but I didn’t climb this one, our other climber did and he likes things as simple as possible. He’s 20 years experience and still will not be tempted away from a prussic but boy he can climb! Me and another lad where running the ropes and it wasn’t too bad but I know what you mean when a mate needs a lift we use his bollard and it is brilliant whether your in the tree or on the floor. The guy in the tree being happy is what we go on whether that’s me, the guy in the video or a.n other as long as it’s done safely and we all go home.
  21. If I’m being honest for about 20 minutes it was horrible but once we got into the swing you kind of forget where you are as the concentration is full on all day! 98% was roped down, it was 2 long days.
  22. Forgive me on the editing etc. 1st attempt of a YouTube video, I’m sure the more I do the more they will improve.

    Stihl 020av super

Stripped it cleaned it with carb cleaner then rebuilt it and double bubbled the snapped piece back in situ. It’s worked for now, ill keep my eye out for a spare carb in case the repair doesn’t hold but a couple of days ago it was just a little side project when having a brew, was given the saw so nothing lost and all that! Turns out to be a little cracker.
